昨日は、映画の試写会におつきあいで参加して、その後、同僚と一杯ひっかけて帰ったため、結局ポンソは飲めませんでした。ボトルの残りは、今晩飲もうと思います。３日目になってしまうとあまり参考にならないかもしれませんけどね。

金魚はとりあえず、５匹とも無事です。そのうちの一匹は、相変わらず体がくの字に曲がってますが‥。

Yesterday, I went along to a movie preview and then had a drink with a colleague afterward, so I didn’t end up drinking the Ponzo. I plan to have the rest of the bottle tonight, though by the third day, it might not be as informative.

When I got home and got out of the bath, I went to feed the dragonfly nymphs (frozen baby brine shrimp) that we caught over the weekend—and I found three had died. One seemed to have died naturally, but the other two appear to have fallen victim to cannibalism. With the tank being so crowded, the risk of cannibalism is likely to continue.

I bought the plastic case for insect-keeping at a nearby Seiyu, but now I’m debating whether to put gravel at the bottom. Gravel would probably be better for the nymphs and might reduce cannibalism, but it also makes it harder to see the nymphs. Debris can accumulate between the stones, and the water can get dirty…

These first attempts at feeding the frozen shrimp were tricky because the nymphs weren’t used to it yet—they didn’t take the food easily. Once they get accustomed, though, they snap at the tweezers almost reflexively. I’ll try to upload photos again from time to time.

The goldfish are all fine for now. One of them still has that characteristic bent “L” shape in its body, though…
