Given the current situation, I suppose price hikes are inevitable, but this is effectively the second increase in two years. When I first discovered this place, lunch was 980 yen. Then it went up to 1,200 yen. That said, showing a LINE stamp gave you a 100-yen discount, so for a long time the actual price I paid was 1,100 yen. However, starting this December, the LINE stamp discount has been discontinued.
In that case, I almost wish they had kept the price the same by reducing the side dishes from two to one. The nearby “Tokyo Athlete Shokudo” has also raised its prices repeatedly, and I’ve stopped going there as well. With prices rising the way they are, life has become quite tough for someone like me who’s working on a post-retirement contract.
