Standard Uranium Ltd (TSX-V:STND, OTCQB:STTDF, FRA:9SU0) said Thursday that its first-ever drill campaign at the Corvo Uranium Project near Wollaston Lake in northeastern Saskatchewan confirmed anomalous uranium in all nine completed drill holes, underscoring the project's potential for basement-hosted uranium mineralization.
The winter 2026 program returned 55 metres of weakly anomalous uranium, including 23 metres of moderately anomalous uranium and 13 metres of highly anomalous uranium, the company said.
Moderately to highly anomalous levels of pathfinder elements including vanadium, cobalt, copper and nickel were consistently associated with elevated uranium across all drill holes.
The program returned tens of metres of anomalous uranium, including notably high-grade intervals, alongside consistently elevated pathfinder elements across every drill hole.
Geochemical signatures and lead isotope ratios point to a uranium-rich source consistent with known Athabasca Basin deposits, while modelling identified stacked fault zones and hydrothermal alteration across all three target areas.
The winter 2026 program marked the first drilling at Corvo in more than 40 years.
"Digging deeper into the results of our first drill program at Corvo truly emphasizes the widespread prospectivity of the project," said Sean Hillacre, president and vice president exploration of Standard Uranium.
The Corvo project is under a three-year earn-in option agreement with Aventis Energy Inc. (CSE:AVE) , which funded the winter 2026 program. Standard Uranium operated the drilling. A total of 2,457 metres were completed across ten reconnaissance drill holes at the Manhattan, Brooklyn and Tribeca target areas; one hole was abandoned due to ground conditions.
Hillacre said the modelling and statistical analysis of the assay results have added scale and context to a fertile system at Corvo, reinforcing the project's discovery potential and the company's enthusiasm for continued exploration with Aventis.
U:Th ratios, which indicate how much uranium has been concentrated by hot mineralizing fluids relative to background levels, along with lead isotope data, came back favourable for hydrothermal uranium systems, building on 2025 surface work that included a Manhattan showing grading up to 8.10% U3O8.
Standard Uranium said it is planning additional surface exploration and geophysical work in the coming months, with a second phase of drilling planned for 2027 to follow up along strike of mineralized drill holes and test additional priority targets.
