Nolan returned as CEO in March 2025 , after previously serving as Argo's chief growth officer. His tenure included a court-sanctioned restructuring completed in December 2025 that equitized $40 million of 8.75% senior notes due in 2026.
The restructuring increased Argo's nameplate hashrate from about 1.8 EH/s to 2.4 EH/s and expanded self-mining capacity to 28.5 MW. Argo also acquired transformers and switchgear capable of supporting as much as 65 MW of deployment at future sites. At the time, Nolan said completing the restructuring "marks a new era for Argo."

Argo continues to identify cryptocurrency mining as its core business while evaluating AI/HPC data-center opportunities. The company began exploring an HPC expansion at its owned Baie-Comeau facility in 2024, when it signed a non-binding letter of intent with BE Global Development. Argo said that proposed project would require capital spending, additional financing and potentially shareholder approval.
