Aehr Test Systems ( NASDAQ:AEHR ), a maker of test and burn-in systems for chips used in AI, data centers and electric vehicles, rose 16.38% in premarket after its fiscal first-quarter results beat estimates and it raised its full-year outlook. Revenue tripled to a record $33.0 million, ahead of the $26.82 million estimate, and non-GAAP EPS of $0.28 beat the $0.10 forecast. GAAP EPS was $0.21, against a loss of $0.07 a year earlier.
Bookings of $46.7 million gave a book-to-bill ratio of about 1.4, and backlog reached $100.9 million, rising to $109.3 million by November 1 with later orders. Aehr is shipping more than a dozen Sonoma systems a month for its lead hyperscale customer's first AI processor. That customer's second processor has cleared qualification, and the customer expects it to reach higher volumes than the first. Separately, a major supplier of AI accelerators, CPUs and network processors will install a fully configured FOX-XP wafer-level burn-in cell at a partner facility in Taiwan in early calendar 2027, with a high-volume production decision expected within several months of validation.
Aehr now expects fiscal 2027 revenue of $150 million, the top of its earlier $130 million to $150 million range and triple fiscal 2026. It also expects non-GAAP net income of at least 20% of revenue. Chief Executive Gayn Erickson called the new accelerator customer one of the largest potential burn-in opportunities Aehr has ever pursued.
