Investing.com -- Luxshare Precision Industry shares fell on Friday after the Apple supplier reported slower third-quarter profit growth and missed its earlier nine-month earnings forecast, as rising operating costs and foreign-exchange losses weighed on its performance.
Shenzhen-listed shares fell 2.87% to 46.69 yuan in late-morning trading, underperforming the Shenzhen 300 index, which was down 0.6%.
Net profit attributable rose 7% year on year to 5.21 billion yuan in the July-September quarter, while revenue increased 14.62% to 110.51 billion yuan. The profit growth marked a slowdown from the 18.04% increase reported in the first half of 2026.
For the first nine months, revenue climbed 29.01% to 285.01 billion yuan, while net profit attributable advanced 13.36% to 13.06 billion yuan. Adjusted net profit, excluding non-recurring gains and losses, increased 8.72% to 10.37 billion yuan.
The nine-month profit figure fell short of the company's preliminary forecast of 13.25 billion to 14.40 billion yuan, which had implied annual growth of 15% to 25%.
Luxshare's results were affected by a stronger yuan against the U.S. dollar, higher raw-material prices and increased operating expenses. Financial expenses surged more than twelvefold to 3.22 billion yuan in the first nine months, primarily due to higher interest costs and foreign-exchange losses.
Selling expenses increased 49.58%, while administrative costs rose 35.29%. Research and development spending also climbed 29.12% to 10.55 billion yuan as the company continued investing in its manufacturing capabilities and business expansion.
Looking ahead, Luxshare expects full-year 2026 net profit attributable of between 19.09 billion and 19.92 billion yuan, representing growth of 15% to 20%. It also announced a third-quarter cash dividend of 0.6 yuan for every 10 shares, equivalent to a total distribution of 463.5 million yuan.
