Investing.com -- Givaudan SA (SIX:GIVN) shares surged to their highest level in 15 months on Tuesday after the Swiss fragrance and flavour maker reported stronger-than-expected third-quarter sales growth.
Shares jumped 6.5% to CHF 3,713, their highest level since late-July 2025, after touching an intraday high of CHF 3,746. The benchmark Swiss Market Index rose 1.2%.
Givaudan's like-for-like sales grew 8.6% year on year in the third quarter, comfortably exceeding the company-compiled analyst consensus of 4.7%.
Sales in its Fragrance & Beauty division rose 13.5%, more than double the 6.6% growth expected by analysts, while its Taste & Wellbeing business grew 3.5%, ahead of the 2.8% consensus.

For the first nine months of 2026, sales reached CHF 5.89 billion, up 5.2% on a like-for-like basis and 2.6% in Swiss francs. The organic growth rate exceeded analysts' expectations for 3.9% growth over the period.
Fragrance & Beauty generated nine-month sales of CHF 3.15 billion, with like-for-like growth accelerating to 8.8% from 8.0% a year earlier. Fine Fragrance sales increased 15.3%, while Consumer Products grew 9.3%.
Taste & Wellbeing generated CHF 2.74 billion in sales, with like-for-like growth of 1.5%, down from 3.4% a year earlier. However, its third-quarter growth improved, offering signs of recovery after weaker demand in North America.
Givaudan said it had introduced price increases with customers to fully compensate for higher input costs in 2026.
The company maintained its longer-term targets of average like-for-like sales growth of 4% to 6% and adjusted free cash flow above 12% over its five-year strategic period. Givaudan is scheduled to report full-year results on January 27, 2027.
