Nvidia Takes The First Hit

In a post on X, Cramer asked whether others had noticed that "anything negative in tech immediately crushes Nvidia."

Speaking on his show 'Mad Money' on Wednesday, Cramer said a handful of tech giants, Nvidia among them, have become so powerful that their influence extends far beyond their stock prices, likening them to "nation states."

AI Spending Worries

Nvidia's reach in AI has extended well beyond chips this year. Its latest quarterly report disclosed land, power and shell guarantees on select AI cloud partners' data center leases in the event of their default, and on Tuesday it said it will invest $3 billion in Meta Platforms Inc.'s roughly $37.5 billion equity offering.

That exposure shows in credit markets with the company's five-year credit default swap , the annual cost of insuring its debt against default, at 127 basis points on Tuesday, up 226% from 39 at the end of 2025. On Oct. 21, it edged above Meta's.

Nvidia is also exposed to CoreWeave Inc., whose shares have slumped this month, with higher borrowing costs weighing on a data center buildout funded largely with debt.

Nvidia bought $2 billion of its stock in January and agreed to buy any capacity it cannot sell through April 2032.

Share Performance
