The S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries (ASX: XSO) closed at 3,305.20 points on Tuesday, down 9.10 points or 0.27% for the session.

The index has lost 37.50 points, or 1.12%, over the past five trading days.

Against the softer small-cap backdrop, First Graphene secured its first US athletic footwear order, while NewPeak Metals and Dalaroo Metals delivered fresh exploration results from Argentina and Côte d'Ivoire.

First Graphene secures first US athletic footwear order

First Graphene Ltd (ASX:FGR, OTCQB:FGPHF, FRA:M11) has secured its first purchase order from US-based Flux Footwear, marking the company's first production application in the sporting and athletic footwear sector.

Flux will incorporate First Graphene's PureGRAPH graphene additive into its Graphene XT performance gym shoes to improve strength and durability.

PureGRAPH is expected to progressively replace graphene currently used across Flux's graphene-enhanced footwear range as production requirements increase.

The deal expands First Graphene's commercial presence in footwear after earlier progress in the work and safety footwear market.

NewPeak confirms large Las Opeñas mineralised system

NewPeak Metals Ltd (ASX:NPM, OTC:NPMFF, FRA:NPM) has confirmed a large-scale gold-zinc-silver-lead mineralised system at its 100%-owned Las Opeñas permit in San Juan Province, Argentina.

Discovery hole 26-LODH-023 returned 663 metres at 0.42 g/t gold equivalent from surface, including 283 metres at 0.67 g/t gold equivalent from 7 metres.

A second hole returned 657 metres at 0.30 g/t gold equivalent from surface, including 117 metres at 0.60 g/t gold equivalent from 77 metres.

Results indicate gold grades increase toward the southwest, providing a vector toward the Belleza Breccia volcanic centre.

Phase 2 drilling is expected to begin in mid-October, with an initial 1,000-metre program funded from NewPeak's recently completed A$3.5 million placement.

Dalaroo delivers strong start at Bondoukou

Dalaroo Metals Ltd (ASX:DAL) has intersected significant gold mineralisation in the first two holes of its maiden reverse circulation drilling program at the Bondoukou Gold Ridge Project in Côte d'Ivoire.

The standout result was 18 metres at 7.31 g/t gold from 63 metres in hole BDRC002 at the Wilfred target.

The results represent the first drilling along the approximately 7-kilometre Gold Ridge target corridor.

Dalaroo's initial 24-hole, approximately 4,200-metre orientation phase forms part of a larger planned 102-hole, approximately 12,000-metre RC program targeting Wilfred, Mag and Ali.
