What Viant Technology Holders Saw Early

Trade DSP on Coinbase

If Viant Technology sat on your watchlist instead of in your brokerage account, the outcome over the past year may feel like a missed call. Investors who held Viant Technology over the past year are up 46.0%, including dividends. The obvious question is what, if anything, in the earlier debate between a bullish digital migration and AI thesis and a far more cautious DSP market view could have signalled that Viant's CTV heavy, privacy focused model might justify staying invested.

A Narrative on Simply Wall St is one investor's written case for a company, with its growth, margin and multiple assumptions spelled out. Those assumptions imply an estimated Fair Value.

Viant Technology is not the only name tied to this theme. Zero in on 55 AI infrastructure stocks and compare how each one is priced.

The Argument Viant Technology Investors Were Really Weighing

The shares cost US$8.29 at the start of the period, and anyone looking at Viant Technology then had to choose between two very different stories.

The bullish narrative put fair value at US$19, tied to revenue growth assumptions of 12.0% and profit margins reaching 5.5% on a three-year view, supported by ViantAI and a CTV-heavy, privacy-centric model.

The cautious case saw a fair value of US$5.89, built on revenue falling 18.0% and profit margins of 0.5%, with pressure from much larger DSP rivals and concentration in a few key clients.

What The Results Changed For Viant Technology

Viant Technology closed the TVision deal and added attention data directly into its CTV and ViantAI toolkit, which leaned toward the bullish digital migration and AI story. In the same period, total revenue was US$77.853m in Q2 2025 and US$104.254m in Q2 2026, while net income slipped from a small profit to a loss and margin moved from 0.4% to -0.1%, so profitability progress remained unproven. The evidence cut both ways.

The key assumption was that AI and CTV strength would show up in both sales and earnings. When you review another stock built on a similar pitch, track whether rising revenue is matched by a sustained positive net margin in the reported numbers.

What Viant Technology's Price Already Assumes

With Viant Technology now at US$12.64 and up 46.0% over the past year, the selected Narrative argues its Fair Value still sits above the current quote.

The crux is whether CTV centric tools, attention data and Viant AI convert a record enterprise RFP pipeline into sustained, higher quality spend that the market has not fully credited yet.

"The main thing that has to go right is that Viant keeps converting its record large-advertiser RFP pipeline into ramping spend while sustaining high adoption of its proprietary data and AI tools across existing customers."
