Andrew Tate sends harsh words at Bitcoin crash amid US-Iran war

Andrew Tate has never been one to stay silent during market chaos.

The former kickboxing champion turned online provocateur is notorious for misogynistic and racist rants. He has also been accused of rape and human trafficking in Europe.

Now he has once again inserted himself into the crypto conversation. This time, it comes amid a rapidly escalating U.S.-Iran conflict that has rattled global markets.

While geopolitical tensions rise and missiles strike across the Gulf, Tate is taking aim at Bitcoin (BTC).

What has happened to Bitcoin so far

Since Oct. 10, nearly every geopolitical flashpoint has translated directly into crypto volatility.

Bitcoin had managed to climb above $69,000 by Feb. 26, showing surprising resilience despite mounting global tensions.

That changed quickly.

On Feb. 27, President Donald Trump announced "major combat operations" against Iran, triggering a broad sell-off across global markets, including cryptocurrencies.

The joint U.S.-Israeli offensive, dubbed "Operation Epic Fury," has prompted retaliatory missile and drone strikes from Tehran targeting military bases in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Oman.

Within 24 hours, Bitcoin slid sharply, dropping to $63,176 on Feb. 28.

The situation escalated further after Trump claimed in a Truth Social post that Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was dead, a claim later confirmed by Iranian state media.

At press time on Mar. 2, as per CoinGecko, Bitcoin had partially recovered to $65,964.55, still well below its pre-conflict highs.

Trending on TheStreet Roundtable:

Andrew Tate takes a dig at Bitcoin

Tate, who has long promoted cryptocurrency as a path to financial independence, weighed in on the downturn with characteristic bravado.

On Mar. 2, he posted on X:

"WAR OR NOT BITCOIN CANT CRASH BECAUSE IT ALREADY CRASHED FOR NO REASON :)"

The remark comes despite his own turbulent history in crypto markets.

Over the years, Tate has launched and promoted several meme coins such as Daddy Tate (DADDY), Roost (ROOST), Germany Token (GER) and F*ck Tristan (FTRISTAN), many of which later collapsed amid allegations of insider trading.

In 2023, Romanian authorities seized multiple assets, including Bitcoin wallets attributed to him during his legal proceedings.

In November 2025, onchain data from Arkham Intelligence indicated that Tate had lost all funds deposited into one trading platform, alongside referral rewards generated through his code.

More recently, Arkham data shows his tracked portfolio stood at $111,460 as of Mar. 2, down from $116,780 on Feb. 23, a weekly decline of $5,320.
