Crypto fear and greed index drops sharply
Market sentiment has turned sharply bearish, with the Crypto Fear & Greed Index dropping to 24 — "Extreme Fear", its lowest level in months. Just a month ago, the index stood at 60 ("Greed").
The index — which aggregates data from volatility, momentum, social media activity, dominance, and Google Trends — highlights growing anxiety among traders. Analysts say the shift reflects not only price weakness but also broader market fatigue after weeks of heavy leverage and liquidations exceeding $700 million in the past 24 hours.
