Google Finance is going to integrate prediction markets data from both Polymarket and Kalshi, the tech company said in its latest update on Nov. 6.
The update feature would allow users to ask questions about future market events and harness the wisdom of the crowds by tapping into the data from event contracts on the prediction markets.
For instance, a user would be able to ask Google (Nasdaq: GOOGL) about the GDP growth in 2025 to see current probabilities in the market and how they've changed over time, the tech company said.
Google said that prediction markets data will roll out over the coming weeks, first with Google Labs users. Labs is an incubator created by Google to test and publicly demonstrate new projects.
Powered by crypto payments, Polymarket is the world's largest prediction market. It recently raised $2 billion from the New York Stock Exchange parent, Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), at a valuation of $9 billion.
Considered a rival to Polymarket, Kalshi is another popular prediction market. It also raised $300 million from Sequoia, Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), and Coinbase Ventures, among other investors, at a valuation of $5 billion.
The Alphabet (Nasdaq: GOOGL) stock was exchanging hands at $284.69 at the time of writing.
