Santhera Pharmaceuticals, AOTI, Poolbeg Pharma, Solvonis Therapeutics, IBT

Santhera Pharmaceuticals (SIX:SANN, OTC:SPHDF, FRA:S3F0) nearly doubled revenues to CHF 77.2 million in 2025, driven by strong AGAMREE sales across Europe. The company expects to hit cash flow breakeven in Q3 2026 without raising additional capital.

AOTI Inc (AIM:AOTI) has published a major study showing its wound oxygen therapy healed 64.8% of patients with chronic wounds that had resisted treatment for an average of seven months. The study, which involved 3,126-patients, also reported hospitalisation rates of just 3.7% and amputation rates of 6.1%.

Poolbeg Pharma PLC (AIM:POLB, OTC:POLBF, FRA:POLBF) is about to start screening patients for its POLB-001 trial across six UK sites, targeting a serious complication of cancer immunotherapy. Interim data is expected this summer, with partnering talks already intensifying ahead of the readout.

Solvonis Therapeutics PLC (LSE:SVNS) is pushing its alcohol use disorder drug SVN-001 into phase III rather than doing an early licensing deal. CEO Anthony Tennyson says shareholder value is greater at the end of a successful trial than before it.

International Biotechnology Trust (LSE:IBT) says M&A activity in biotech is running hot, with the proposed KalVista deal the latest example. Portfolio manager Ailsa Craig says big pharma's patent cliff problem is keeping activity at exceptional levels.
