Rocky was just a huge huge risk. Are studios today taking those same type of risks?

Uh, no. No, no, no, no, no. I there might be a few like AI 24 and things you know, the smaller ones.

But the big corporate ones, they they they've got themselves into a real predicament because what they think works, so you know, the 400 million dollar production. But if it doesn't work, heads are going to roll.

And people are looking for identifiable stories, simple stories. You know where they're finding them now? On streaming, on uh dateline, on 2020, you know, real human interaction. But I don't think we're going to ever see them again in abundance like dog day afternoon or Pacino kind of films or Mean Streets or great films like Lion and Winter or Becket, forget it.

It's sad. But it's true. And I don't think the audience wants it either too because you know, this generation doesn't have that same education that I had. You know, the way schooling is, they don't teach the classics, they don't teach poetry, you don't teach the Raven. So it would be quite alien to them. I don't even know what they teach, but the one thing they do rely upon is complete and utter fantasy.

Escapism. Which every young man, you know they they love that. and of course, who wouldn't?
