I've been a Tarte Cosmetics fan for the last 10 years when I started wearing makeup on a more routine basis. Since that point, you will not catch me without a Shape Tape Concealer in my makeup bag. That said, I've been on the hunt for another foundation to add to my makeup routine and I have the latest on Timeless Drying Foundation from Tarte that you'll want to get your hands on. Tarte Timeless Hydrating Foundation
The Timeless Hydrating Foundation is a serum foundation that's formulated to create a full coverage finish. It's infused with skincare ingredients including hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, caffeine, bakuchiol and cloudberry all of which come together to reduce the appearance of fine lines and pores while brightening the skin. It's also free from parabens, mineral oil and phthalates so you can feel comfortable about putting it on your skin.
Our Review of Tarte's Timeless Hydrating Foundation
I have extremely dry skin so I'm always looking for foundations that are going to hydrate my skin rather than suck the moisture out of it. As the name suggests, this one is extremely hydrating and feels like a natural second layer of skin. The brand says it will provide up to 24 hours of hydration and I do agree that is true. In my case, my skin felt more plump and supple while wearing it, for hours after taking it off and into the next morning.
At the most basic level, it easily blends out into the skin since it is a serum foundation and is buildable whether you want light or more full coverage. I prefer a more full coverage look so I just used an extra pump or two to achieve that type of finish. I tried 20B (light beige) and 22N (light neutral) and felt light beige suited my complexion better.
I found it left my skin with a natural and even finish and was able to cover up my redness and hyperpigmentation really easily.
It is advertised as providing 12-hour wear that is sweatproof and I found that to be mostly true. After about eight hours of being in the Florida sun at Disney World , I noticed it started to break up and become a tad streaky as is usually the case with most serum foundations. I keep a concealer in my purse so I just put that in the areas that needed some help and I was all set — not a dealbreaker by any means.
I highly commend Tarte for having an inclusive shade range — it's available in 25 shades from fair neutral to espresso neutral.

As for the price point, it's $42 putting it on the higher end but still in range with other popular brand name products. Is it pricey? A bit, however, it is of the quality you'd expect from Tarte and will become a staple in your routine going forward.
