The original 18-pan palette sold out repeatedly, then grew into a peach-scented universe that included Papa Don't Peach blush, the Sweet Peach Glow face palette and Creamy Peach Oil lip colors. The following year brought Just Peachy Mattes, Peach My Cheeks cream-to-powder blushes and Peach Kiss lipsticks. People did not casually like this collection. They waited in digital lines tens of thousands of shoppers deep for it.
A decade later, after Too Faced traded hands and spent a few years lying relatively low, the brand is returning to the fruit that helped define its glory days. The new Peach Collection includes four products: the Sweet Peach Eye Shadow Palette, the Peach Perfector Loose Setting Powder, the Primed & Peachy Hydrating Face Primer and the Peach Mist Hydrating Setting Spray.
Longtime fans have notes. The collection has no blushes or lip colors, and people are already asking where Papa Don't Peach and Just Peachy Mattes are. Fair! But after playing with all four products since attending the launch event a little over a week ago, I can confirm that the setting powder is genuinely good. Its innovative peach-pit dispenser is also very fun and has prevented me from spilling an entire container of loose powder all over my desk/makeup station, which I have done more times than I would like to admit. Still, the nine-pan eyeshadow palette is the product that is kind of blowing my mind.
Correct me if your 2016 memories differ, but I remember the old Too Faced shadows being cuter in the pan than they were on my oily, hooded lids. Some shades read chalky, the deeper colors could collapse into my crease and the glitter fallout occasionally followed me all day.
TOO FACED PEACH COLLECTION
Sweet Peach Eye Shadow Palette
This palette feels like a formula update, not simply nostalgia in a squishy peach compact. It mixes powders with two creams, including pale Georgia Peach and blackened-purple Talk Derby to Me, which also works beautifully as eyeliner. I initially distrusted both because cream shadow plus oily lids is usually not the best combo. Instead, they blended easily and did not budge.
The shimmers are similarly civilized. Luscious and Just Peachy deliver sparkle without recreating the 2016 glitter migration under my eyes; over primer, I saw no fallout. For everyday wear, I have been using Georgia Peach and warm-brown Puree with Just Peachy tapped onto my inner lids. Summer Yum and plum-toned Peach Pit can take it sultrier.
The primer and spray are solid, and the mess-proof setting powder packaging deserves praise. Still, scent-sensitive shoppers should know every product smells emphatically like peach. For everyone else wondering whether this comeback is worth buying before the blushes hopefully arrive: start with the palette. Shop the rest of the collection below.
