Meghan Markle has mastered the art of melding understated elegance with a touch of luxury, and her go-to manicure is no different. Her signature nail look is a neutral soft pink on well-groomed, short nails. Fans who watched her Netflix show, "With Love, Meghan," saw the manicure be put to the test as she worked her magic in the kitchen. The practical cut of Meghan's nails, matched by the timeless color, is worth emulating, especially in the late summer when it can be hard to strike the right tone.

On her ShopMy page, Meghan revealed that she achieved the coveted-yet-simple nail tone by combining two different nail polish colors. The first was CND's Vinylux polish in " Satin Slippers ," and the second shade was " Romantique " from the same brand. Meghan's instructions were to apply one coat of each polish to get her "With Love, Meghan" manicure. While the nail tone is gorgeous any time of the year, it's particularly versatile as an end-of-summer shade. Most  manicure and pedicure shades that look great together for fall  lean toward rich, autumnal shades like olive greens, chocolate browns, and mustard hues. But for those who want something adaptable in the seasonal transition, Meghan's manicure offers great inspo. It's neutral enough that it goes with anything, meaning it plays just as well with summer looks as it does with autumnal layers.

Meghan Markle's late-summer manicure has a royal link

With Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and their brood moving back to the U.K., the gang is saying goodbye to sunny southern California. But interestingly, her signature manicure will work just as well in England, because her taste in nail polish is remarkably similar to the late Queen Elizabeth II. While Meghan has always loved neutrals and quiet luxury, it does seem interesting that her favorite manicure shade is almost identical to the one loved by the late queen.

Of all of the chic nail colors worn by the royal family , the monarch famously only wore Essie's "Ballet Slippers" — a neutral, soft pink almost identical to Meghan's combo of "Satin Slippers" and "Romantique." Even the nail polish names are similar. It's quite likely that both women gravitated toward this flattering, milky shade because it's so low maintenance. The natural manicure works with every outfit in every season, so there's no added fuss over matching one's manicure to seasonal clothing. It's also great because the fall trend for manicures is a return to nostalgic color favs , and neutral pink nails are high on the list. So like Meghan, you can be timeless and trendy all at once in the late summer with this effortless manicure.
