You will never catch me in an esthetician's office getting neuromodulators injected under my skin, but, as a beauty writer, I am someone who's perpetually on the hunt for effective, at-home beauty treatments that can replicate the magic of Botox or, say, regular laser sessions at the derm.

And though popular solutions for tired, dry, and dull skin — think peptide serums or LED masks — work well enough, in my line of work that doesn't always cut it. In short, the WWD Shop team searches far and wide for skin care topicals and tech that deal with skin health holistically, granting results that stick around for longer than an evening.
Enter: The Booster Pro X2 7-in-1 Glow Facial Device from Medicube, a now-viral South Korean beauty brand known for its clinical-grade devices and problem-focused products that are safe to use without professional intervention.

Released in March 2026 and already a bestseller, with over 4,000 units bought in the past month at Amazon.
Medicube's original, multipurpose, wand-like Booster Pro gadget went live in February 2024, followed by instant social media fame, thousands of five-star reviews, and high-profile endorsements from the likes of Hailey Bieber, Kim Kardashian, and Kylie Jenner. For this 2026 update, Medicube decided to salvage everything fans have come to love and appreciate about the K-beauty gizmo while leveling up its functionality as a whole.
The released-this-year Booster Pro X2 features twice the power output, seven modes in total (including the never-before-seen Dual, Mask, and AI settings), a larger head, and the ability to help the active ingredients in your go-to skin care absorb even faster. Three million units were sold on Amazon since launch, according to the brand.
Covering more of the face at one time and encouraging greater personalization based on your unique skin needs, the Booster Pro X2 is pricier than its prototype, but beauty bargain hunters will be happy to know that markdowns are not out of the question. Clocking in at just under $300 on the regular, the 2.0 bestseller is currently going for the discounted price of $249 at Amazon (for context, this is the earlier version's full price).

"I had been wanting the Booster Pro X2 ever since Medicube released it, so my expectations were pretty high. After using it for the past two weeks, I can say it absolutely lived up to them," shares one Amazon reviewer.
Medicube Booster Pro X2 Benefits
A guarantee: The Booster Pro X2 will arrive to your door lacking unnecessary bells and whistles (accompanied just by a user manual and a charging cord), because the magic only commences when you power it on.
The premise is simple. When you do turn on the device, you'll immediately have an option of picking one of its seven modes before applying it onto your skin. The aforementioned manual makes it clear exactly how to do so — providing visuals of the proper ways to hold and glide the Booster Pro X2 across your face depending on your selected setting (in most cases, the hard-and-fast rule is outward and upward).
There's Booster Mode, which works with skin's luminosity in mind; Air Shot Mode for pore care and texture resurfacing; MC Mode that plumps; Derma Shot Mode that defines; AI Mode, working only through the compatible Age-R app on the basis of a more tailored-to-you ethos; Dual Mode for experiencing two modes simultaneously when you're running short on time; and (our favorite) Mask Mode, allowing all your sheet masks to penetrate the skin more effectively while squeezing every last bit of hydration out of them.
Especially when paired with Medicube's lineup of tried-and-true, clinical study–backed moisturizers , serums , and under-eye patches , the Booster Pro X2 delivers outcomes you're bound to be impressed by (yes, lasting outcomes at that).
But we're clearly burying the lede here. Crucially, its head emits powerful LED light in a myriad of hues — one of the components that made its predecessor famous in the first place. Said light only radiates when the facial tool touches your skin, and each shade has a specific function, be it cutting back on inflammation or boosting collagen production.
From remedying volume loss to getting your glow back, Medicube's Booster Pro X2 7-in-1 Glow Facial Device will exceed expectations regardless of your objectives and can be taken advantage of daily. Indeed, consistency is of utmost importance if you want to witness tangible changes in skin quality.
Here's what I thought about the new-and-improved Booster Pro when I tested it out for a whole month.
Editor's Review: Medicube Booster Pro X2
Behind the Booster Pro X2 's seven distinct modes is a handful of underlying technologies that are commonly encountered in derm clinics, mainly microcurrent (MC Mode), electroporation (Booster Mode), electric needling (Air Shot Mode), sonic vibration, and EMS (Derma Shot Mode).
Admittedly, I've never attempted any of these treatments before, so the sheer stimulation of the electrical pulses took me by surprise at first. That being said, the device lets you control its intensity with six levels to choose from, meaning I could do a Level 2 for a setting with forceful micro-vibrations (like Mask Mode) and then jump up to a Level 5 to elevate a gentler mode's sensations.
Medicube suggests "layering" your modes in the following way — Air Shot two to three times a week on a dry, clean face; Booster, MC, Derma Shot, and Dual (in that order) one to three times daily over a serum or cream; and Mask once daily over a liquid-rich, well, mask. Five to 10 minutes per session is the sweet spot for each setting, and I found that I could easily make these increments go by faster when I read or watched TV while the cord-free and portable Booster Pro X2 did its thing.

I tested the Medicube Booster Pro X2 for a whole month, experiencing the differences between modes and discovering my ideal intensity levels for each.
I liked that the tool was voiced over, keeping me posted on how many minutes of the regimen have passed and announcing the intensity levels plus modes as I alternated between them. As soon as I downloaded Medicube's Age-R app, too, I realized that it unlocks a wonderful range of new possibilities, from the customized recommendations of AI Mode to the routines you can create for yourself and the check-ins you can complete to track weekly progress.
The Booster Pro X2 is refreshingly straightforward despite offering so much, and it never overwhelmed or burdened me with excessive optionality. I was excited to reach for the inviting, accessible, and aesthetically pleasing innovation — mornings and evenings both, like clockwork.
But the main draw of the Booster Pro X2 7-in-1 Glow Facial Device is, of course, its skin-improving prowess that becomes evident as early on as in a few weeks after initial use. When I first became acquianted with the purchase, having gone through Medicube's proposed steps in their entirety, I noticed that the skin on my face was more taut, not to mention rosier around the cheeks and dewier all over. I was shining from within, and I could see true definition in my cheekbones, jawline, and other areas that could always benefit from a little sculpting action.

Results after first use.
The microcurrent and similar electrotherapy felt invigorating but never painful. (I could sense that my facial muscles were literally jumping to attention as I swiped the Booster Pro X2 in their general viscinity.) When all was said and done, my usually sensitive skin wasn't angry, irritated, or inflammed. On the contrary, it looked balanced: particularly when I followed or preceded the gadget with further heavy hitters in Medicube's roster, such as the NAD EGF Firming Serum and the PDRN Pink Collagen Jelly Eye Masks .

Medicube EGF NAD Firming Serum
$21.80
An "Amazon's Choice" buy that promotes elasticity, thanks to one of wellness' hottest buzzwords right now: NAD+ .

Medicube PDRN Pink Caffeine Collagen Eye Patches
$21.90
Running on four hours of sleep? These revitalizing eye masks will keep it a secret.
I even persuaded my mom to try out the Medicube product for herself, twice daily for two weeks, and she reported a visible reduction in the appearance of wrinkles surrounding her lips and lining her forehead. This goes to show that Medicube's latest is a fit for every skin type under the sun — mature, acne-prone , and still-youthful alike.
I'm convinced that the Booster Pro X2 has no match on the market when it comes to its almost-immediate results and comprehensive versus haphazard approach to skin. The viral item not only plays well with every other part of my skin care but actually maximizes the formulas' potential — also brightening, toning, lifting, and streamlining its own processes to complement busy schedules that demand efficiency.
Make no mistake: The 7-in-1 Booster Pro X2 isn't a miracle cure or a band-aid fix. Instead, it repackages dermatologist-inspired skin care advancements in one handy, versatile package with barely a learning curve and the capacity to secure the healthy, radiant skin of your dreams. For under $300, no less.

What Is the Difference Between Medicube's Booster Pro and Booster Pro X2?
The Booster Pro X2 claims to be twice as powerful as Medicube's previous facial device model, the Booster Pro , while boasting twice the number of electrodes and a bigger dual-head surface area — leading to faster, more potent, and more uniform treatments.
Three fresh modes also take center stage: Dual Mode for tackling "multiple skin concerns," per Medicube, Mask Mode for ensuring a sheet mask's essence can root itself deeper into skin, and AI Mode that sets you up with a personalized routine, working off of your habits and skin profile.
