Going Black Friday shopping in RI? Here are the hours for malls.
For many, the day after Thanksgiving is a time to tackle most of their holiday shopping – taking advantage of sales at stores and malls across the country.
This year, Black Friday falls on Nov. 28, and many shopping centers open early and close late that day to accommodate the influx of deal-seeking shoppers.
If you're planning to stop by Providence Place, Warwick Mall, Garden City Center, or any other mall in Rhode Island, here's what to know about their hours.
Providence Place Black Friday hours 2025
Many stores at Providence Place , like LEGO , will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Black Friday. But some could open even earlier, according to the mall.
Check individual store hours before you go shopping.
The mall also has several holiday events planned, including opportunities for pet photos with Santa Claus.
Warwick Mall Black Friday hours 2025
Most stores at Warwick Mall will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 28.
However, the shopping center said that select stores open as early as 5 a.m. You should check the hours for each store you plan to visit at the mall. Target , for example, is likely to be an early opener.
Guests can take photos with Santa Claus all season long.
Garden City Center Black Friday hours 2025
For the past few years, Garden City Center in Cranston has opened from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Black Friday. However, the shopping center hasn't yet announced its general hours for this year.
Hours may vary for individual stores, a representative for the center explained.
The Cranston shopping center does advertise a "Holiday Happenings" event running from Nov. 21 through Nov. 28 this year. Guests can take photos with Santa Claus, attend a holiday tree lighting, and write letters to the North Pole, among other festivities.

The Crossing at Smithfield Black Friday hours 2025
The Crossing at Smithfield is typically open from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Fridays, but it wasn't immediately clear whether the mall had extended hours for Black Friday.
The shopping center features Barnes & Noble, Yankee Candle, and Ulta Beauty, as well as several other retailers.
