Civivi’s Best-Selling Elementum EDC Knife Gets a Massive MagnaCut Steel Upgrade

Launched in 2019, Civivi's Elementum immediately became a big hit in the EDC knife community. To this day, it is the brand's most popular, best-selling design ever.
After many, many fan requests, the brand has finally handed it off to its big sister brand for what could be the silhouette's best reinterpretation ever.
The We Knife Elementum Flipper Titanium MagnaCut remains true to the original's spirit, but gets some massive upgrades all around.

Element(um) of surprise
This new version of the Elementum was announced only a few short hours ago in a late-night (for the USA) post on We Knife's Instagram . The lack of pomp and circumstance is honestly a little surprising, considering how significant this knife is overall.
That goes double, considering how compelling the upgrades are to this version. That said, the changes also make sense for a brand (or family of brands) that so consistently revisits favored silhouettes with new tweaks and spins.

The most common versions of the Elementum come with D2 tool steel blades, but this one swaps that for arguably the hottest steel of the moment: MagnaCut. That's a big upgrade in the knife's corrosion resistance and toughness, and it makes sharpening easier (although D2 might have a slight edge on, well, edge retention).
That, my friends, is what the people asked for, and it's what the people got. However, it's far from the only difference between this Elementum and the more pedestrian versions.

A worthy successor
An upgrade to trendy super steel would have probably been enough to make this Elementum newsworthy, but We Knife didn't leave it at that. The handle opposite the blade also got a big, stylish upgrade.
Whereas most Elementums come with G-10 or micarta scales (with some carbon fiber ones in the mix), this edition raises the bar in two ways. First, the material is swapped for titanium, improving toughness without adding excessive weight.

Second, the knife features a 3D-milled topographical map pattern, which adds depth and texture while also improving the material's overall grip. (While G-10 and micarta are naturally grippy, metal is often smooth.)
The knife retains its 6.98-inch length and 2.96-inch drop-point blade, boasts a flipper deployment, retains its lanyard hole and has a frame lock. It will also be available in two all-over finishes, one blacked-out and another in all-gray. Both are stonewashed.

Availability and pricing
The We Knife Elementum Flipper Titanium MagnaCut comes out on August 24, 2026, in black or gray. While the gray version doesn't yet have a listing, the blacked-out version will sell for $218.
