Preorders Are Already Live For The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Blu-Ray

It's going to be a busy weekend at theaters with the release of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and preorders for its upcoming Blu-ray release have already gone live at multiple online retailers. While the home video release doesn't have a release date yet, the Mario Movie sequel will be in cinemas for at least 5 weekends, and Blu-ray editions tend to drop a few months after their theatrical runs, so you've got plenty of time to preorder. It also gives you plenty of time to decide which version of The Mario Galaxy Movie Blu-ray editions to bring home. In addition to the standard 4K , Blu-ray , and DVD releases , there are also steelbook and collector's edition versions available to preorder, some of which are exclusive to specific stores. Here's a breakdown of each version and what you can expect to pay. One thing to note about all of these releases is that special features and tech specs have yet to be revealed, but we'll update this post when we know more.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie: Walmart Exclusive Collectible Tin (4K Blu-ray)

Exclusive to Walmart, this version of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie comes packaged inside a very different cover. Instead of your typical rectangular Blu-ray box, you're getting an egg-shaped cover that resembles Yoshi's egg from the movie. Alongside the 4K copy of the movie, you'll also get a standard Blu-ray and a digital streaming code, all wrapped in an exclusive collector's edition box.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Limited Edition Steelbook (4K Blu-ray)

Anyone looking for a steelbook edition of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is in luck, as it's available to preorder at multiple retailers. Designed to look like Rosalina's book, the cover features an iconic invincibility star on the front, and the inside shows a screenshot of the Comet Observatory. The 4K Blu-ray comes with a standard Blu-ray and digital streaming code copies of the film.

What's the next best thing to watching The Super Mario Galaxy Movie? Listening to it! The film soundtrack is getting a special edition release from iAm8Bit, including vinyl, CD, and cassette versions of Brian Tyler's score. The two-disc vinyl set is a work of art designed to replicate the movie's cosmic nature, housed in jackets with glow-in-the-dark and foil flourishes.
The two-disc CD soundtrack is adorned with Mario Red and Luigi Green labels and the same album art by artist Scott Saslow, and for analog fans, the cassette is a retro throwback housed in a Galactic Blue casing.
