Redemption Whiskey’s First-Ever Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon Kicks Off a Relaunched Premium Line

Single-barrel bonded bourbons do exist, but they're uncommon due to the lack of flexibility when honing in a final product. And the ones on the market currently typically ask for upwards of $70 (Colonel E.H. Taylor and Garrison Brothers come to mind).
Redemption Whiskey now has something to say about that. The brand's Single Barrel Bonded Bourbon hits shelves next month, and for just $50. Ironically, it also inaugurates the relaunch of its premium Higher Marque collection.
Single barrel plus bottled-in-bond?
Under the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897 , the designation requires a spirit to be distilled in a single season by one distiller, aged at least four years in a federally bonded warehouse and bottled at exactly 100 proof. Those rules eliminate blending across seasons or producers, which is precisely where most large-volume bourbons cut costs.
Layering a single-barrel requirement on top tightens the spec further. There's no batching barrels together in order to smooth out rough edges and there's far less margin for error. The combination is relatively rare at any price point, let alone below $50.
The bourbon
Redemption distilled this bourbon in Indiana (MGP's Ross & Squibb Distillery) and bottled it at Redemption Barrel Selections in Frankfort, Kentucky. The mashbill runs 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% malted barley. The brand has historically been associated with its rye-forward grain recipe since the very beginning back in 2010.
Each barrel is aged a minimum of six years, well beyond the four-year BiB floor, and the spirit goes into the bottle without chill filtration, preserving the natural oils that contribute texture and flavor. Master Blender Alan Kennedy hand-selected and evaluated every barrel himself.
Redemption describes the nose as vanilla, leather, raspberry and subtle oak. On the palate, you can expect vanilla, toasted oak, crème brûlée, sweet corn, warm baking spices and caramel, with a long, lingering finish of spice and oak.
Redemption's broader 2026 arc
The Single Barrel Bonded Bourbon is the first release under Redemption's Higher Marques banner, a premium tier that fits perfectly with the brand's fresh bottle redesign back in April. The Higher Marques collection is intended to house the brand's most notable expressions, such as releases where age, proof and production method are front and center.
Availability and pricing
Redemption's Single Barrel Bonded Bourbon arrives on shelves in September. Again, pricing sits at $50 but you might find these for even less.
