CGM Recommends: Mother’s Day Gifts 2026

The year has progressed, and we are once again heading towards Mother's Day. It's a time to celebrate and appreciate the amazing people who raised us and kept on giving us their all, even after we grow up. But we all know how hard it is to find a gift for someone so amazing, so we at CGMagazine have a carefully curated list of great items to show your love.

We have quite a list this year that ranges from phones to laptops and all the way to portable chargers. After all the love and care that our moms have given us over the years, they for sure deserve something very nice for Mother's Day, especially if they like technology. So if your mom is famously, or infamously, hard to buy for, we definitely have you covered.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra

Everyone loves their phones, but moms do especially. More than just a phone, it's also a place for talking to their kids and looking at photos of times past, but most phones just can't hold up with the amount of love moms have. That's where the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra comes in. It's a very powerful phone that can handle anything thrown at it. On top of that, it is also very stylish with colours like Cobalt Violet, Sky Blue, and Black, among a Silver and Pink Gold variety only found online.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra features a lot of RAM and storage options. Starting with the option for 12GB or 16GB of RAM, which is complemented nicely by storage options ranging from 256GB, 512GB or even a massive 1TB of space for files, photos, and more. The storage options make sure that your mom will probably never run out of space for photos, but the screen itself makes viewing those photos even better. A 6.9-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X display is the mainstay of the S26 Ultra, which can reach a 120Hz refresh rate and produce a peak of 2600 nits of brightness. Quite a beast.

Google Pixel 10a

If the ultra is more than your mom needs, the Google Pixel 10a is a great choice for someone who doesn't need all the gizmos. The Pixel 10a is chock-full of features that anyone would find handy. For the 10a, AI is built into every aspect, and the device takes advantage of that fact with implementations like being able to take two group photos with the camera person taking the photo in one, and being in the other while someone else takes the picture. You can then use the 10a to stitch the two photos together so that no one is ever left out of the picture-especially your mom. That is one among many, many other features.

The Pixel 10a has a battery sitting at 5100 mAh. This is boosted by the fact that the Pixel 10a supports 30W Fast Wired Charging capability and 10W Wireless Charging, respectively. The camera, as well, has always been a mainstay of Pixel phones, which is no different in this generation. Although the 10a features almost the same specs as the 9a, it still has a lot of power with a 48 MP wide-angle lens with Macro Focus, a 13 MP ultra-wide lens on the back, and Super Res Zoom up to 8x to top it all off. 

BoostCharge Pro 3-Port Laptop Power Bank 20k

Now, with all the tech on this list already there is, naturally, the concern of charging them, which is an easily solvable problem with the Belkin BoostCharge Pro 3-Port Laptop Power Bank 20k. While other portable chargers are massive and bulky, this one compensates by having a wider frame with a thinner body. This, of course, means that it will easily be able to fit into a backpack or purse.

It has an LED screen that shows how much battery is left, plus how long it would take to charge and run out, depending on what it's used for. There are three ports that offer three ways to charge at once, which culminate with USB-C 1 and 2 slots and an extra USB-A 18W quick charge. Apple MacBook Neo

In a world where a good laptop usually empties your wallet of about $1000, it's always nice to have a budget option available. Even though the Apple MacBook Neo looks like another multi-thousand-dollar purchase from Apple, it's actually priced at a reasonable MSRP of $599. That price point makes the MacBook Neo a steal in terms of Apple products, which is important because it is chock-full of Apple tech.

Starting off with a 2408-by-1506-pixel Liquid Retina display with 500 nits of peak brightness, which, according to Apple, can support a billion colours. But due to the Neo being a budget device, it has to give up some features like True Tone, which takes away the adjustment of the screen's colour temperature, and it also has larger bezels than the mainline MacBook's. But have no fear, in Joe Findlay's review of the MacBook Neo , he said, "Despite what it is missing, it still offers a quality picture. You would be hard-pressed to find a prettier display in this price range."

The Neo also sports an A18 Pro chip, which, for those informed, is the same chip used on the iPhone 16 series. Why is it a mobile chip instead of the Apple standard M Series? Because the Neo was made for lower costs while maintaining a strong everyday performance, perfect for mom .

Xiaomi Pad 8

Price: $499

Some mom's may love their phones, but it's a for sure fact that many more love seeing things on a way bigger screen than a regular phone can provide. That is where the Xiaomi Pad 8 comes in. The Pad 8 is an all-around good tablet to have, mostly because of its chip, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, which is powerful enough to make any action taken on the Pad 8 completely buttery smooth. 

Getting down to the specs, the Pad 8 comes with a 9200 mAh battery, which should be enough to get through multiple hours straight of use. That battery powers the 11.04-inch screen brought over from the Pad 7, which offers a 144Hz refresh and a 3.2K resolution with adaptive HDR that pushes the maximum brightness up to 800 nits.

ASUS Zenbook S14 2026

Capping off our Mother's Day list is the 2026 ASUS Zenbook S14 , which is a very premium product priced at an MSRP of $2399. Although the price tag is heavy, the perks of having this laptop may just be enough to make your mom happier than she already is. It is a very sleek piece of tech made of CNC-machined Ceraluminum that comes in Antrim Grey and Scandinavian White. What is most impressive is that the Zenbook S14 comes in at only 1.1 cm thick and weighs a paltry 1.2 kg.

Getting into the specs, all of the Zenbook S14 models come with a 14-inch 3K OLED touchscreen powered by a 77Wh battery that can keep the laptop running for up to 27 hours. This also powers the Panther Lake-based Intel Core Ultra processor , the highlight of the laptop according to Erik McDowell's review .

In fact, the 16-core 2.1 GHz Intel Core Ultra 9 386H sits at the heart of the Zenbook S14, which is neighbouring an Intel Arc graphics and an NPU getting up to 50 TOPS. On top of that, the Zenbook S14 also has 32GB of soldered LPDDR5X memory and a 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD. All of that lingo basically means that you will never have to worry about lag or anything of the like.

Mother's Day is not all about just gifts, though; it's also a time to spend time with our moms and family as a whole. CATAN - On the Road is the newest entry into the world of CATAN , with a little twist that separates it from the original game. You must collect resources from cards, building from a shared pool of options to pick from and trade with either the bank or each other during play. On the Road is made for portable play as well, so if you are on a road trip with mom or just lounging about, there will always be a CATAN game to be played.

To play, you must be the first person to reach seven victory points located around the board. You can achieve this mainly by trading, which is a little different in On the Road, because if you trade while it is not your turn, you will be rewarded with an extra resource card. Using trades, you can negotiate for cards that you need to expand your region, recruit knights, and upgrade your settlements, all to achieve as many victory points as possible. 

Blacklyte Atlas Lite Standing Desk

With all of these products basically necessitating a table to use, why not go the extra mile and get Mom a desk? Specifically, the Blacklyte Atlas Lite Standing Desk . We all know that standing desks are supposed to be better for working, but the Atlas Lite goes the extra mile. Rounding up to be a very useful chair for long sitting sessions.

The Switch 2 is also a huge update over the original Switch; it has a bigger screen, bigger Joy-Cons, but a bigger price tag to boot. The upgrade is totally worth it, though, especially for the mobile functionality that the Switch naturally offers.
