Amazon's 2-Pack of Solar Bird Feeders Adds a Pretty Glow to Your Garden

I have reached the point in my gardening journey where I don't just want birds in my yard. Apparently, I would also like to provide them with attractive dining establishments and mood lighting. Thankfully, Amazon is enabling me with this 2 pack of Birdream solar bird feeders that look like adorable little pagodas during the day and give off a warm glow once the sun goes down.

The solar bird feeders are pretty enough to double as garden decor, but they're also surprisingly practical. Each one holds a generous amount of seed, has clear panels so you can see when it's running low, and requires no electricity to light up at night. You get two in the set, so you could hang them together or spread them around the yard and give the birds multiple dining options. You know, in case the Cardinal doesn't care for the clients at the first location.

The pagoda style feeders measure 8.2 by 8.2 by 9.8 inches each, and together they can hold about five pounds of birdseed. Amazon says sunflower and nyjer seeds are good choices if you're hoping to attract birds like cardinals, goldfinches and chickadees.

During the day, a solar panel on top absorbs sunlight. Once it's dark, the feeder lights up with a warm yellow glow. I love solar garden lights because there's no cord to deal with and no remembering to turn them on every night. The sun does the work, and I get to wander outside later and admire my glowing garden like I accomplished something.

They're also designed to be easy to refill. The clear sides let you check the seed level without opening anything, and there's a wide opening at the top to make pouring in more seed less of an Olympic event.

And despite arriving in a few pieces, you aren't signing yourself up for an afternoon of deciphering instructions while quietly losing your mind. The company says each feeder can be assembled in about a minute, and it includes both video instructions and a step by step manual.

The reviews are especially convincing because shoppers aren't just talking about how cute the feeders are. The birds apparently approve, too.

One reviewer said the feeders were "worth the price" and specifically loved how bright the solar light looked at night.

Another shopper reported that the lights were bright and attractive and said the feeders felt durable and stable. They also noted that squirrels had a difficult time getting onto theirs, which feels like an unexpected little victory considering squirrels generally approach bird feeders as an elaborate puzzle created specifically for them. Ask me how I know.
