Fall is right around the corner, and as much as we don't want to swap out our shorts and skirts for trousers and jeans, soon we must. Some of us are loyal to specific denim shapes while others are more inclined to refresh their denim options seasonally based on trends.

For the Fall/Winter 2026 seasons, we saw plenty of denim trends on the runway that will impact our decision making with silhouettes as the cooler months roll through. Over at Acne Studios, Dries Van Noten, and Isabel Marant, jeans were tucked into boots as an equestrian or biker-adjacent styling cue for Fall, while other silhouettes were embellished for an eye-catching detail or left baggy for a relaxed feel.

Fall is the season of autumnal tones, and plenty of examples turned up in the denim department this season. In New York at emerging brand OSSOU's Fall/Winter 2026 presentation, we saw denim offered up in the perfect muted brown, while Chemena Kamali's Chloé show in Paris, plenty of colored denim was styled with capes, coats, and thigh-high boots, but none caught our attention quite as much as this muted plum pair.
