Converse’s New Chuck Was 10 Years in the Making. The Upper Dates Back Centuries

Converse is a legacy name in its own right, having produced some of the most well-known shoes of the past century.
Its latest release, a collaboration with NYC streetwear darling Noah,adds fresh prestige to the classic silhouettes, combining undeniable style and heritage materials into two styles already generating buzz.

Big steps
The Converse x Noah Collection marks the inaugural partnership for the two brands; neither are strangers to collaboration, but this joint effort feels especially effortless, given they each have a penchant for slightly preppy, always cool aesthetics.

Founded in 2015 by former Supreme creative director Brendon Babenzien and his wife Estelle Bailey-Babenzien, Noah has made a name for itself designing clothing that merges skate, surf and music culture with classic prep.
The new collaboration sees the brand's unique point of view applied to two classic Converse models.

The first is the Converse x Noah Chuck Taylor High 70's, featuring a patchwork, mix and matched canvas upper blending blue, green and burgundy hues with natural laces and a white outsole.

The Converse x Noah Chuck Taylor Lo 70's opts for a custom tartan cotton upper with contrast stitching called Green Plaid.

Tartan is one of the most classic patterns in existence, tracing its roots all the way back to the 3rd century AD.
The low top comes with both red and natural laces, and both shoes feature minimal but impactful Noah branding hits on the insoles, in small print beneath the All-Star branding on the heel license plate and on the low top, at the bottom of the tongue tag.

Although the collection just debuted this morning and is set to officially launch tomorrow on Converse's site, at the time of this writing, both the Chuck Taylor High 70's and Lo 70's are selling through their size run on Noah's website.
Availability and pricing
The NOAH x Converse Collection is available now on Noah's official website and stores, retailing for $120 for the high top and $110 for the low sneaker.
