Has there ever been a more beautifully constructed sneaker than the Air Jordan 3?

I'd argue that there has not been, so color me impressed with just about every version of the shoe that makes it to the market.

The latest iteration is "Pure Money."

Nike is selling  Air Jordan 3 Retro "Pure Money" Men's Shoes for $205. Available sizes range from men's seven to 18 and women's eight to 19.5.

The colorway is called White/White/Metallic Silver, and it's stunning.

Nike says, "Clean and supreme, the AJ3 returns with all of its classic style and grace. Quality leather in the upper—with that luxurious elephant print texture—combines with visible Nike Air in the sole to make a comfortable, everyday icon."

According to Nike , "The Air Jordan III was a make-or-break shoe for the relationship between Nike and Michael Jordan. It was 1987, and meetings about new designs weren't going well. The project, in the form of a folder, was given to Tinker Hatfield with a vague brief: 'Just do something with it.'"

That's when legendary shoe designer Hatfield jumped into action. 

Nike goes on to say, "'I jumped on a plane to visit Michael Jordan and get to know him, ' recalls Hatfield. 'We talked. I realised that he had a good sense of style. He said he wanted a pair of basketball shoes that were comfortable and fresh right out of the box, that didn't require breaking in.'"

The result of that conversation was the Air Jordan 3. The rest is history, and now you can own the latest iteration of possibly the greatest shoe ever made.
