eBay's Pokemon Day 2026 Live Event To Include Auctions On Rare Pokemon Cards, Games, & More

Pokemon turns 30 this year, and to celebrate this momentous anniversary, several big events are planned for Pokemon Day on Friday, February 27, 2026. The Pokemon Company and Nintendo are holding an official Pokemon Presents livestream that day to highlight upcoming Pokemon news, while other companies are holding their own events, including a day-long Pokemon Day 2026 eBay Live event featuring auctions, live-streamed segments, and more, starting at 8 am PT / 11 am ET on February 27.
Pokemon Day 2026 eBay Live: 30/30 Collection Auction
While there are numerous segments planned for the Pokemon Day eBay Live event, the biggest draw is eBay's 30/30 Collection Auction , which will give fans the chance to bid on a curated lineup of 30 pieces of classic and rare Pokemon merch, including several collectible cards from the Pokemon Trading Card Game, sealed copies of classic video games, and more. A few highlights include:

Original Japanese holographic Charizard card from the 1996 Pokemon TCG base set

Those are just a few of the items in eBay's 30/30 Collection, so be sure to tune into the eBay Live event if you want to see them all. The auction segment starts at 3 pm PT / 6 pm ET. Each piece in the collection will be auctioned on eBay, with bidding starting at its original retail price. You can sign in with your eBay account ahead of the event to turn on notifications for when the 30/30 Collection auction--and all the Pokemon Day 2026 eBay Live streams--kicks off.
While The 30/30 Collection has some rare Pokemon memorabilia, there will also be a curated list of over 500 auctions on other Pokemon merch and trading cards available through March 1. You can check these out at eBay.

Along with these online auctions, the Pokemon Day 2026 eBay Live event will also include several other segments like live pack openings, gameshows, guest appearances, and more. The full event takes place February 27 from 8 am to 5 pm PT / 11 am to 8 pm ET. You can watch and bid online, or, if you live in New York City (or feel like making the trip), you can even attend the Block Party in person at The Standard Biergarten (848 Washington St, New York, NY). The in-person event will feature card-grading booths, games, and prizes.
More Pokemon Day 2026 Merch Drops
Plenty of other events and merch drops celebrating Pokemon's 30th birthday are planned elsewhere, including Pokemon apparel and TCG drops happening all week at Walmart , the new Pokemon TCG: Pokemon Day 2026 Collection set--which is still in stock (at substantial markups) at Amazon and Best Buy via third-party sellers--and the launch of the Lego's first officially licensed Pokemon sets , a few of which are available to preorder now. Even Time Magazine is getting in on the celebration with a special issue dedicated to Pokemon's 30th anniversary. Naturally, the issue is available in multiple versions featuring a different iconic pocket monster on the cover, including Pikachu , Charizard , Mega Charizard X , Ho-oh & Lugia , and Rayquaza . Each cover variant is available at Amazon for $15 a pop.
