The 3,491-piece Ministry of Magic finally arrives
The star of the celebration is the new 3,491-piece Ministry of Magic – Collectors' Edition , which launches Sept. 1 for $449.99 .
Lego Insiders can get a head start on the magic with early access to the new set from Aug. 29 through Aug. 31 , before it officially launches Sept. 1.
The enormous Lego model spans three levels, beginning with a London street scene complete with a subway station and the iconic red telephone box. Inside, builders can recreate the Ministry's departments, the Hall of Prophecy, Arthur Weasley's and Dolores Umbridge's offices, a disciplinary hearing courtroom and the site of the dramatic Dumbledore-Voldemort duel.
The set includes 14 minifigures, including Harry, Hermione, Ron, Dumbledore, Voldemort, Umbridge, Sirius Black and Mad-Eye Moody, along with a collectible 25th-anniversary Lynx Patronus.
When finished, the Ministry stands more than 20 inches tall, making this less of a Lego set and more of a full-blown Wizarding World centerpiece.
