Hess 2026 mini collection marks USA 250 with new set

The Hess Toy Truck Mini Collection returns for 2026 with a historic twist.

This year's collection celebrates America's 250th anniversary, honoring both the legacy of Hess Toy Trucks and the semiquincentennial milestone. It is the first Hess Toy Truck collection tied to a national commemorative campaign.

Designed for kids, collectors and gift-givers alike, the limited-edition set highlights the hardworking vehicles that help keep the country moving every day. The America 250 Edition features three fan-favorite vehicles reimagined in miniature size, with 131 total working lights. This year's collection also includes specially marked America 250 packaging.

The Hess Toy Truck tradition dates to 1964, when the company introduced the truck as a way to offer families a fun, high-quality, affordable toy during the holiday season. Since then, Hess Toy Trucks have become a highly anticipated tradition for millions of families.

Introduced in 1998, the annual Hess Mini is a limited-production set of highly detailed, small-scale versions of classic holiday Hess Toy Trucks.

This year's lineup includes:

• Miniature Tow Truck– Inspired by the 2019 Hess Tow Truck, this replica features a fixed-position tow arm, classic Hess green-and-white coloring, chrome detailing, 39 lights, three axles and six free-rolling wheels.

• Miniature Police Truck– Inspired by the 2023 Hess Police Truck & Cruiser, this command vehicle includes signature Hess detailing, chrome accents, three axles, six free-rolling wheels and 55 lights.

• Miniature Dump Truck & Loader– Inspired by the 2017 Hess Dump Truck & Loader, this two-in-one set features a detailed dump truck paired with a fixed-position loader. It includes classic Hess finishes, 37 lights on the dump truck, three axles and six free-rolling wheels.

Each miniature vehicle is crafted with signature Hess green-and-white styling, authentic detailing and bright working lights powered by nine preinserted button cell batteries. Every vehicle is mounted on a detachable display base for showcase display or hands-on play.

Also available, while supplies last, is the My Plush Hess Truck: 2026 Monster Truck, designed for the youngest fans. The squeeze-activated soft toy is the seventh in the award-winning plush series, known for its comforting lights and sing-along songs.
