How to use a water table at home
Put your toddler or preschooler in their bathing suit, fill up the water table, and watch them discover which toys float, how they can fill up a cup, what water feels like as it rains down, and more. Or, keep them in their play clothes—but expect them to get a little soaked, like my colleague's cute 21-month-old in this video!
Water tables work best outdoors. Alternatively, you could use one in the bathroom, but it takes up a lot of space. Ideally, you can fill it with a hose and always empty it between uses to discourage mold, keep it clean, and help ensure that little kids aren't playing with any water while you're not looking.
