Let's take a look at some of Casey Schmitt's recent numbers because, as I mentioned, multiple hits in seven straight games.
He joins a list of really elite Giants here.
This has not been done since 2013.
I mean, when you watch Casey Schmitt, Rich, what stands out about the way that, not just recently, but he's been swinging the bat all season?
Well, I, I, I just feel like because of the consistent playing time, and he's seeing more pitches, he's able to lay off the tough pitches that he was normally chasing- Mm-hmm in, in years past.
And, you know, he, he hasn't changed much stance-wise or swing-wise, 'cause he stands pretty much on the dish.
We know his power is to the pull side, but we saw in Miami this past weekend, he just wore out center field.
Mm-hmm.
Just was hitting just bullets right center, left center, center.
And, I just think it's a maturity process for him, where he's getting the time now.
Mm-hmm.
He's playing different positions.
He's not letting that affect his offense, and he's just going out and raking.
And it was funny, we tal- We had your quick hits on the other day- Yeah over the weekend, and I w- If I would've thought about this sooner, I would've asked him, because that's why I wanted one more question.
Ah.
I was gonna ask him why he- Exactly ordered a glove from Amazon, and why didn't he just borrow a glove from Jung Hoo Le or whatever until his glove got there?
I'm like, "I never would've thought- when I played, 'I'm gonna order a glove and get it mailed to me.'"
And then it shows up and it's left-handed, right?
And it's, yeah.
So, um- And it's the wrong hand but no, great, great start to this season for Ca- And unbelievable last week for him.
Yeah, yeah, really like we've said.
having a career year overall, but also in the last week, really good stuff there from Casey Schmitt.
Multiple hits in seven straight games.
You know who's also been raking and been having an unbelievable year is Jung Hoo Le, and that is what's hot, presented by Service Champions.
First, we're taking a look at the Giants, who are among the leaders in Major League Baseball in batting average because, yes, Jung Hoo Le is there in second, but Luis Garca is not far behind, batting 321.
Also, Casey Schmitt is in the top 10 in all of Major League Baseball.
But looking more at Jung Hoo Le and the year that he's had.
Two for three tonight with a walk, and then that absolute moonshot, moonshot, Richie.
Almost 415 feet to right center field in the second inning.
just incredible.
Incredible stuff from Jung Hoo Le.
He, he left the yard to the big boy area today.
He was.
I mean, that, that's probably the furthest ball we've seen him hit, in a Giants uniform.
He almost gets decapitated at second.
Yeah, he got clotheslined.
But, yeah.
But you know what?
I think this, and maybe not, to not this extent with the, where the average is, with the number of the average.
Yeah.
But I think this is the type of player that the fans here and the Giants organization thought they were getting- Mm-hmm from, you know, the year they signed him.
Mm-hmm.
And whether it was injuries, whether it was just, you know, getting used to the country, whether it's just getting used to Major League Baseball as opposed to playing in Korea, I mean, it took him a little while, but th- this guy is really kind of, you know He surprised me.
He's surprising me a little bit with the consistency of his play of late.
But, again, another good night for him.
And, you know, when you, when you, you know, we coulda had on that thing, with the Casey Schmitt, we coulda had Hoo Le Schmitt.
I know.
Right?
What happened?

But another, you know, good show.
I mean, he had, did have the drop ball in right field tonight.
True.
But we, we won't It led to a run, but- We'll let it slide but we were like, "We're letting that slide."
