Day 11 of training camp is now behind us, and it was a day that Todd Monken had some explaining to do.

Talked about his decision on Saturday, day 10, which was day 10, to switch up the quarterback order.

It had been every other day with Shador Sanders in line to run with the ones on Saturday.

He instead opted to start Deshaun Watson with the ones instead.

And his explanation was basically that he-- they had a conversation after walkthroughs, that Shador had had more reps with, with the first team at that point, and that they wanted to get Deshaun sorta caught up in that regard, and so they made the pivot.

And that he didn't have to explain to anybody because he's the head coach of the football team, so he can kinda do what he wants.

And it is a fair point that he does have the power to make those types of decisions.

And he made it clear that this week would be Shador, Deshaun, and then Desha-d-and then Shador again on Wednesday, un-until he decides-- unless he decides otherwise, leading into their first preseason match-up on Saturday against the Chicago Bears, where he has not yet named a starter for that game, but does plan on playing his starters for at least some period of time.

He said ideally the first series.

So we'll see what comes to fruition from that.

In terms of on the field, the team was inside on Monday.

Shorter practice, just about ninety minutes.

They were in shells today, not full pads, and it was Shador running with the ones as promised by Todd Monken.

And he had some successful moments.

His, his Red Zone 11 on 11s was really productive, had three touchdown passes during that period, and had some other guys throws throughout practice.

I thought his anticipation and his decisiveness was on display.

Deshaun Watson was a little more erratic today.

I, I kinda had some ups and downs, but also scored two touchdowns of his own during that Red Zone drill.

Shador had three.

Both quarterbacks, though, ending on a negative.

Shador had a two-minute drive or, an under-a-minute drive to end practice 11 on 11s, and had three straight procedural penalties to get them thrown off the field by Todd Monken.

And then Deshaun Watson came in and had a promising drive that also ended with a false start, and also ended practice, which frustrated Todd Monken.

So there was some good, there was some bad.

The defense continues to be a b- a major story as they seem to just dominate day after day, and we'll see if they can get some things cleaned up in time for Saturday.
