Cleveland Browns Training Camp: Day 2 Recap
Shedeur Sanders takes first-team reps under the watchful eye of a special guest, while a suffocating defense and continued rotations along the o-line make for a sluggish Day 2 of Cleveland Browns training camp.

Day two of Browns training camp in the books, and as promised, we'll start with the quarterbacks, of course.
It was a little role reversal.
Deshaun Watson going with the twos today.
Shador Sanders going with the ones today.
And I gotta admit, like, especially with the ones, things were ugly at times, not because of Shador specifically, and there's a point I wanna make on Shador in terms of, of the positive that I took away from today with him, but the defense was just super disruptive.
Mason Graham was living in the backfield.
They really couldn't do much to, to neutralize that defensive line.
It was a struggle, and that tends to be the case this time of year.
The defense, we always say, is ahead of the offense.
And so it was a lot of Shador just kinda taking the checkdowns, not doing too much, having to scramble a little bit.
He would've been sacked a couple times.
But what I will say is he did lock in a little bit late, make a couple nice throws later on in practice.
Plus, I, I think it was a sign of maturity that he wasn't forcing the issue.
He wasn't trying to force the ball into spots when the pressure was there.
He took what the defense gave him, took those checkdowns, sometimes threw it away, scrambled, drilled when he needed to, and so that was a positive step.
I think Deshaun, he could only go up from day one, had a better day today.
He made probably a couple better throws than any-- th-than Shador did today, but I don't think either quarterback had, like, an overall e-e-ex-exceptional performance out there on the field.
It was a lot of the same for both of them, taking checkdowns, quick throws, getting rid of the ball quickly, a-and that's also the nature of where practice is right now.
Tom Munken is not trying to give them too much or do these complex routes and things down the field, and so that's kinda where things went in, in that regard.
We got a chance to talk to Andrew Berry on Thursday as well.
He opened up about the conversations that are ongoing with Jadeveon Clowney, potentially bringing him back.
The fact that his, his departure from Cleveland in twenty twenty-two, as maybe infamous as it now is, calling out the, the role that he had in the defense, is not something that they're holding against him, and he's not gonna judge Clowney based off of that from several years ago, and that he's actually stayed in touch with Jadeveon Clowney.
Now, the question is, will he be in Cleveland?
We'll see if that comes to fruition.
He's got some interest elsewhere as well.
And there was a very special guest at practice on Thursday, Shador Sanders' father, yes, the great Prime Time sh-- Deion Sanders, in the house to take it in.
He promised, he said he wanted to meet with Tom Munken and, and connect with him.
They had a chance to talk pre-game or pre-practice on the fields and kept his promise of showing up to, to, to Berea to connect with Munken and watch his son.
It was a cool sort of thing to see Deion in attendance, taking in practice, and we'll see if he has any plans to return at any point during training camp.
But granted, we know Colorado's got their own plans getting ready for a season as well.
But kind of a cool addition to the day.
