Shohei Ohtani pitch again in September.

USA Today reports Sunday saying that he is expected to return to the mound.

Tom, I tend to believe this.

I think Ohtani will pitch in September.

I think he will pitch in the postseason.

I, I, I mean, I, I think he could pitch as a starter, but it feels to me like the best Ohtani we're gonna see is a single time through a lineup in the regular season and postseason.

So what does that mean for me?

It means three innings.

It means 50 or 60 pitches.

And by the way, that's fantastic.

They don't even need more than that.

But I don't know that it'll be a bulk guy, because I do think he wants to open up a game as a starter.

I don't think he's ever come out of the bullpen, if I'm not mistaken.

So, that is where I see it.

I see him as like their four or five starter in the postseason going three innings, maybe four, and then somebody else comes and finishes the job.

I would agree, and this is a You know, you can definitely see an Ohtani, Wileski, you know, kind of piggyback situation where Ohtani starts, you get to three innings, whatever it is, and then you have to work from there.

I believe this is a scenario where Ohtani wants to pitch more than the, than the Dodgers want him to pitch, where like Ohtani is forcing the issue that he wants to come back, he wants to start games, whether it's in, in, you know Be ready in September so they can he can be ready to roll in October.

I think the Dodgers would prefer if they kind of ease off on things, but it is what it is.

He wants to pitch.

I think he'll pitch, you know, come September, whatever, and he'll be ready for October 1st
