８月２０日甲子園球場で行われた第９７回全国高校野球選手権大会決勝で東海大相模
高校が仙台育英高校を破って、４５年ぶり２度目の優勝を飾った。東海大相模の努力
と団結心を称え、敗れた仙台育英の粘りも称えたい。いつか東北の高校がチャンピオン
になることを祈っている。
Tokai University Sagami Senior High School broke Sendai scholarship high
school by the 97th National High School Baseball Championship held in
Koshien on August 20 and carried out championship of the way of second for
45 years. I praise an effort and team spirit of Tokai University Sagami Senior
High School and want to praise too the tenacity of the Sendai scholarship high
school which lost. I pray for a northeastern high school winning the
championship sometime.
