Windows XP 販売、終了

The most immediate question is, with Windows XP moving off the stage, just where is Windows Vista?On the plus side, the newer operating system has sold 140 million copies, according to Microsoft. But, as I've been saying for some time, that is largely a factor of how many people have wanted a new PC in the past 18 months, as opposed to an indicator of pure demand.However, businesses, which get to choose which operating system they run, have overwhelmingly stuck with XP. Just a tiny fraction of corporate machines are running Vista, with some companies not planning any companywide Vista deployment at all. いぜんとして、限られたルートのWindows XPの販売は残るそうですが、大々的な正規小売り販売は６月末にて７年間のその販売期間を終了しましす。これで、Windows Vistaの更なる普及に貢献する事になるのでしょうか。

米国の北朝鮮向け食料運搬船、北朝鮮に来港

ライス米国務長官、北朝鮮の核申告の不十分な点について語る。

北朝鮮、核開発計画の申告文書を中国に提出
AFPが、北朝鮮が半年遅れの核開発計画の申告文書を中国へ木曜日（26jun2008, Thu）に届けたことを北京発で伝えています。AFPNKorea hands over nuclear dossierBEIJING (AFP) - North Korea handed over details of its nuclear programmes Thursday, paving the way to be removed from the US terrorism blacklist amid years of efforts to persuade the North to abandon the atom bomb.Six months behind schedule, officials delivered the dossier to China -- the host country for the six-nation talks since 2003 that have tried to entice the North to exchange nuclear weapons for aid and diplomatic concessions.The declaration of the secretive nation's nuclear materials, facilities and programmes was not expected to include a list of its actual atomic weapons, which would come in a later phase of the complex negotiations.米国はこれを受けて、詳細な検証に入るとのこと。米国の情報部門の見当では、北朝鮮はこれまでの核開発により約50Kg程度のプルトニュウムを保有しているとの事ですが、これらの生産工程を検証できても、既に核兵器として保有されている情報に関しては、今回の申告文書には含まれておらず、今後の問題として検討・折衝課題とか。米国ホワイトハウス Dana Perino 広報官は、米国はこの申告書を４５日以内に検証を終えると表明しました。６カ国協議各国は、北朝鮮の核開発停止の検証段階に入ることになりますが、米国は４５日以内に北朝鮮のテロ支援国家の指定解除を前提にした検証なので、その後は各国応分の対北朝鮮保証の段階へと移る事になります。日本は、KEDO計画の轍を絶対に踏まない覚悟が必要です。

福田首相、北朝鮮のテロ支援国家指定解除、容認を示唆
福田首相は、どうやら日米関係頼りの北朝鮮対策のようで、米国がテロ支援国家解除と言えば、北朝鮮の核開発問題が解決するのを想定できるなら、解除も結構なことと述べた由。毎日jpニュースセレクト > 海外 > アジア・オセアニア福田首相：北朝鮮のテロ支援国家指定解除、容認を示唆 福田康夫首相は２４日、米国が２６日にも北朝鮮のテロ支援国家指定解除の手続きに入ることに関し、「北朝鮮の核問題が解決する方向に進むのであれば、歓迎すべきことだ」と述べ、解除の前提となる北朝鮮の核申告を前向きに評価した上で、指定解除を容認する考えを示唆した。自民党総裁選挙では、福田さんは、自民党総裁に選出されたら、自分の代で北朝鮮拉致問題を解決するとの抱負を述べていました。しかし、それは米国頼みで、日米関係を良好に維持すれば、拉致問題は解決すると踏んでいたようです。福田首相には、いかにして拉致問題を解決しようと言うのか、その展望を描き切れていない様子。６カ国協議に於いて、北朝鮮は日本を相手にせず、日朝関係は米国に仕切らせようとして来た、それをまんまと成功させてしまった、その自意識は福田首相には皆無のようです。

北朝鮮の核開発開示のスケジュール

Stanford sent out an e-mail message Friday to all the current and former employees it could reach, advising them of the theft.盗難に遭ったコンピュータ上のハードディスクには、同大学の職員に関する様々な個人情報が保存されていて、職員の誕生日、ソーシャルセキュリティ番号、住所などの記録が大学外部に漏洩、悪用の危険にさらされており、それがIT技術に関する最先端研究をしている大学に起きた事件と言うのも大変皮肉な事件と言えます。日本でもこの種の個人情報漏洩、かなりニュースになっているのですが、問題視されるだけで、世界的にこの種の問題後を絶たない、深刻な問題です。

米国、クリントン夫人米大統領選からの撤退表明予定

He planned to spend the weekend at home in Chicago.火曜日（03jun2008, Tue）に、民主党の予備選を終えて、オバマ候補が代議員の過半数を制した事を踏まえ、民主党党大会のスーパー代議員を含めた党大会まで踏ん張る事はあきらめ、民主党の大統領候補としての、オバマ候補を支持することを改めて表明する由。クリントン候補の撤退スピーチは、主としてクリントン候補を強く支持してきた人達、例えば女性層に対する感謝の意を示すものとAPは補足しています。これで、米国史上初の大統領を目指したクリントン夫人の計画は、ひとまず終焉を迎え、大きな借金（選挙運動にかかったコスト）が残った、とのこと。そして、これから各党のそれぞれ党大会を経て、オバマ候補が民主党の大統領候補として、共和党候補のマケイン候補と次期大統領の地位を争うことになります。日本の同盟国の次期大統領と言う点で着目するなら、日本の政界ではオバマ候補と強力なチャネルを確立している政治家、先ずいないでしょうね。その意味では、民主党が大統領選を勝ち抜いたときには、日米関係、より未知の方向/関係を開拓しなければいけなくなるのかもしれません。

They have been camping out since Monday night in the station’s Quest airlock to prepare today’s excursion, the first of three planned during their STS-124 construction flight to the ISS.６月３日（03jun2008, Tue 1532 GMT）には、船外活動宇宙飛行士とクレーン操作の星出さん達の協力作業で、バスサイズの日本の実験棟設置作業予定とのこと。日本の実験棟を形容するとき、だいたいバスサイズと形容がついていることが多いのですが、このニュースでは観光バスぐらいの大きさと形容しています。実験棟としてはやはり大きいのでしょうね。今回は、昨年１０月以来正常動作できない電池パネルのギヤも補修するための船外活動作業が予定されているそうですが、この電池パネルが正常に機能しないと、日本の実験棟へ供給する電力が不足するそうですから、こちらの船外活動も重要な作業です。そして年末頃に日本の貨物の第３陣が送り届けられれば、日本の宇宙実験の準備が予定通りやっと整うことになります。

中国への自衛隊の輸送機派遣、見送り。
戦後日中関係の画期的な段階始まると観測していたのが、単純に福田内閣の勘違いで終わりました。NIKKEI NET > ニュース > 政治自衛隊機派遣見送り 日本「世論は変化」と楽観 中国・四川大地震への救援物資輸送のための自衛隊派遣は検討着手からわずか数日で幻となった。政府は救援物資の輸送を目的としつつも、自衛隊機での派遣を前提に準備を進めた。支援内容に関する中国側の態度をつかみきれない段階で、なぜ自衛隊機の派遣検討が先行したのか。中国の複雑な反日感情を楽観視し過ぎたとの指摘も出ている。それにしても、町村官房長官の記者会見に於ける自衛隊機による四川省大地震に対する救援物資搬送発言、これが中国政府からの要請と動機付け、内閣の調整役、政府公報責任大臣として、その能力に欠ける一面を見せつけたのではないでしょうか。
