Tug-of-war over work
From the end of May, Novel Corona-virus infection epidemic went wane and economic activities have been gradually resumed.During the State of Emergency, there were companies that tried to promote work-from-home.Many office workers who were working from home realized how they had wasted time and energy on commuting by jam-packed transportation, troublesome human relationships inside the company including sexual and power harassment, long and meaningless conferences for the sake of conferences, blah-blah-blah.Especially younger generation seems to have been happy to be free from bosses who are busy surveilling subordinates and neglect their duty, miscellaneous duties just to confirm and instill non-constructive pecking order, unnecessary drinking parties based on obligation and just to be nice, and so on.Instead, they've been facing different kinds of troubles and stress, though -but it's not a story for today.These are everyday occurrences in office workers' lives in the Longest-era of modern Japan which is now synonym of Galapagos. Many workers of whole generation have been vaguely aware of anachronism of those evil customs, but resigned that working is what it is, and given up changing.Even after such reality has been revealed, it seems that older generations who cannot accept the change of time and working practices in the future are hell-bent to return to the routine of work at the office.However, lifted State of Emergency is not safety declaration; there is no assuring that second and third outbreak is not coming any time.There are many workers who CANNOT work from home, needless to say.Therefore, workers who can work from home had better keep on work-from-home on their own initiative, in order to minimize the risk of outbreak.Especially in Capital territory where people live densely and congested from the beginning.After Novel Corona-virus epidemic is stamped out, will working practices in our country be more efficient and humanizing?Or will those evil customs related with working come to naught? -Just like freezing air conditioning which died down for a few years after 3.11 Earthquake disaster. これ、な～んだ！？
2019年初頭からもくろんでいたヘアドネーション、やっと実現しました。なぜそんなことを思い立ったか、ですって？ うつ病による拒食症で貧血になって回復後、2014年に初めて献血に行き、以後3回行きましたが、2015～16年以降、鼻の慢性の病気になって熱を出したり、"服用したら一定期間献血できない"薬を度々飲んだりするようになり、行かなくなりました。一方、2018年の結婚式を前に髪を伸ばしていて、"だったらヘアドネーションならできそう"―と、思って、2019年初頭の時点では長さがまだ足りないのは承知で、JHD&C〈ジャーダック：医療用人毛ウィッグを子供達に贈る活動を主導しているNPO法人〉の賛同サロンを地元で探して相談したら、髪は月1㎝伸びるとしたら実施できるのは2020年春頃だろうと言われ、今年の4/1の誕生日を目安に行くつもりで髪を育てて（というより伸ばしっぱなして）いました ―が、3月下旬から喘息が悪化して微熱が続き、（保健所に問い合わせて、COVID-19感染の可能性は"府県内で市中感染が発生している以上0ではないものの一応否定された"ことを踏まえて、かかりつけの医院に事情を伝えて血液検査を受けた結果、感染症の兆候はなかった一方でアレルギー反応を示す数値がべらぼうに高く。喘息も広義ではアレルギー疾患とのことですが）緊急事態宣言下でも理髪店は休業要請対象ではありませんでしたが、こちらは結局5月に入って暑くなるまで体調が安定しませんでした。（…まるで変温動物ですな、こりゃ）―で今月、週間天気予報とにらめっこして"6日以内に最高気温が26度以下にならない"日を狙って"それーっ"と予約して行きました。ちなみに、サロンでは前髪カットとシャンプーの時以外はマスク着用でした。時折、十数年間髪を伸ばしていた方が、人生の節目を前にヘアドネーションをしてニュースになることがありますが、この本には小学校低学年の女の子や妊婦、"重度の身体障碍がある女性が「自分も何かの役に立ちたい」と参加した"という事例も載っていました。 その点では、このボランティアは参加できる人は幅広い一方で、 男の子のヘアドネーションが地方紙のオンライン版などでニュースになるのを見ると、男性にはハードルが高いとは感じられてしまいますね…新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大による緊急事態宣言下で献血が減っているのも問題ですが、そんな中でも小児ガンや白血病の治療の副作用や病気などで髪の悩みを抱えていてヘアウィッグを待っている子供達はいるわけですから―しかし、今日のブログの下書きを書く際にJHD&Cのサイトを見たところ、COVID-19蔓延でヘアドネーションの受け入れを一時停止していて5月25日に再開されたとのこと、今回、ヘアドネーションカットに行く日を決めたのはたまたま体調や天気と相談してのことだったとはいえ、絶妙なタイミングでした。問題はもう1回位チャレンジするか、今回で最初で最後にするかですが、 規定では寄付受付は31cm以上、そこまで髪を伸ばすには単純計算で2年半～3年弱。 加えて実は"そんな歳でもないのに"という頃から白髪が生えていたとなると（…てなことをある時、美容院でボヤいたら、白髪の生え始めは年齢とは関係ないと言われた）、今回は、少なくとも過去5年間はパーマも毛染めもしていない純粋な髪を提供できましたが、3年後はどうだろう…また、3～4月に体調を崩していた間、お風呂に入って髪は洗っても、寒いので早く済ませるためにトリートメントをしない日が度々ありました。 なので、この度の髪のコンディションは今一つだったかも… 長い髪は乾かすのが大変で、自分は風邪を引くと喘息を起こす危険がある身で冬は湯冷めが大敵、となると、これまた葛藤の種です。ビフォーアフター？ ございませんあしからず（写真はせっかくなのでスタッフに撮っていただきました） いやぁ、髪が短くなったら、洗って乾かすのが楽なこと楽なこと。 ―と同時に、（写真から想像つくかもしれませんが）ちょっと癖っ毛なので、うっかり髪が湿っぽい状態で寝ると翌朝うねるわ跳ねるわ (^ ^;)ゞ…もうしばらく、馴染むまでの辛抱。さあ、50万アクセス目の読者様は誰でしょう！？

Education factory?
While I was wondering what to write for today's composition, lessons are gradually resumed at school after abrupt nationwide school closedown in February.During prolonged school closedown, a proposal came up that our state should take this advantage to change the admission month from April to September, in order to follow international standard and guarantee the opportunity for education.Later, there turned out to be a lot of disadvantages that upset not only education system but also whole nation.While I was grappling with this composition, Premier concluded that it's impossible to introduce autumn admissions in this year -preparation period is too short to carry out this year, I suppose.If there is a reason I approve for admissions in September, it's NOT to meet global standard for studying abroad -not so many students can afford to study abroad nowadays.Under current system, entrance examinations of high schools and colleges take place in the middle of influenza season.And once I thought: In our country, under current system, most of the companies -especially large companies settle accounts in March, and welcome new graduate employees in April.If graduation is summer, settlements of accounts and preparing for welcoming new employees won't fall on, then busy period of general affairs section, personnel section, accounting section will be deconcentrated.At the same time, there is no assuring that second outbreak of Novel Corona-virus infection is not coming in September unless effective vaccine and specific remedies are diffused.If the problem due to long term school closedown this time is catching up with conventional curriculum, is it a matter of admission month?In our country, students are supposed to study full time for six years in elementary school, three years in junior high school, three years in high school, four years in college -all academic-grade system and no gap year, and work from the age 22, which is the most common book rule.Of course, some get a job without going to college, and some go to junior college or technical college or vocational college instead of college, some go on to graduate college.But as I wrote, I felt that it looks as if current education system is making ready-made articles called human materials on conveyor belt.Why such feeling? Delay in graduation due to failing in going on to college directly or repeating grade is evaluated negative evenly.Especially holdovers in secondary education are almost automatically connected with miscreant or dropout-While there are students who lag behind in graduation due to health reasons, financial reasons, long-term stay in abroad for parents' reasons, work through night schools or correspondence schools, and so on.It's also a problem that if we repeat grade, yearly school expenses cost.If adults care about having children learn properly what is required to become members of society, it's time our nation change such tendency and system, and reconsider the significance and purpose of education and school.Just one thing: I've thought that secondary education schools should adopt credit-based system basically, which is unconventional now. Because narrow and closed world called school can be hotbed of bully.I'd like to add another reason today; dropout often draws attention as problem, but sometimes, studying in classroom can be uninteresting for superior students who learn quickly and diligent students who can study by themselves under long-term school closedown like this time, Thus, it might be better if each student can study depending on proficiency. -As for the first two or three years of primary education, it's difficult to adopt credit-based system, though.I couldn't come up with what else to do -do someone have any idea?At least, it would be important to have children obtain habit to study voluntary during this period.At the same time, parents must refrain from providing children early education obsessively.-And it seems all Education authorities care about is intellectual education, so is what I've mentioned today -what about physical, cultural and moral education?These arguments about admission month were triggered by an online posting by a high-school student,But needless to say at this late date, it's WRONG to criticize this proponent -Does it make sense, White-hat wannabes?After all, the main victims of central Panjandrums' inaction are students and their family, and teachers.
