from the Tanegashima Space Center in southwestern Japan on a mission to travel to an asteroid 300 million kilometers from Earth to collect rock samples. The probe is expected to reach the asteroid in 2018 and return to Earth in late 2020.
JAXA hopes Hayabusa2 will bring back samples containing water and organic matter, which may help illuminate the history of the solar system and the origins of life on Earth. Hayabusa collected samples only from the asteroid's surface, but Hayabusa2 will attempt to go deeper, making a crater
sun and other bodies.(Mainichi) That is magnificent accomplishment for Japan and also for the world. If the probe brings back the such materials and demonstrates the origins of life, we japanese will be the first descoverer of the origins of life. We are loocking foward to the return of the Hayabusa2 and it's production.
