庭のさざんか

今日は日曜日だが病院から電話が掛かってきた。明日病院に行くと一人の患者さんを
診察していても別の患者さんのことで次から次に直接報告や電話が掛かって来る。今
11人受け持っているがいずれも極めて重症な患者さんで下血が止まらなかったり、39
度の発熱が続いていたり、嘔吐していたり、震えだしがきている人もいる。看護師さ
んは自分の受け持ち患者さんのことを医師に報告して即座に指示をもらいたいのだと
思う。しかし医師は一人である、次から次に報告されても混乱して直ぐには指示は出
せなくてパニックになってしまう。重症な方々ばかりなのでこの1週間で2人お亡くな
りになられた。治療法に問題がなかっただろうかと悩み苦しむ。医者とは因果な職業

ない。次々に看護師から報告されると「待ってくれ、一人で同時に対応できるわけが
ないではないか！！」と怒鳴る医師もいる。一人の人間の限界を超えているが私は試
練だと思っている。同時にやらなければならないことでも微妙に順番をつければ、対
応できるはずだ。人生には試練はつきものである。患者さんのためと思えば試練にも
耐えられる。今受けている試練を笑顔で乗り切ろうと思う。

But the doctor is alone, even if it is reported one after another I am
confused and instantly cannot give instructions and become panic. Because
they are basically severe people, two patients died in this week. I suffer
from worrying whether there was no problem with the treatment.
I think doctor is a harsh occupation. It is the fate of a doctor who has

all.
When reported by the nurses one after another, some doctors shout that
"Waite! There is no way that one person can respond at the same time!"
It is beyond the limits of one person but I think it is a trial. Even if you
have to do something at the same time, you should be able to deal with it if
you judge it delicately.
Tribulation is inherent in life. If you think for a patient, you can endure
the challenge. I will try to overcome the tribulation I am now receiving
with a smile.
