地球最後の日　　Prophecy of Doomsday

今回の新型肺炎に関連して、2020年に肺炎のような深刻な病気が世界的に流行し、すぐに終わるが10年後に再来するという内容の”世界の終わりを予言する”本が2008年に出版されていたという。著者は2013年に死んでいるが今度のパンデミックでこの本が再度注目されている。コロナウイルスパンデミックはオーストラリアの山火事、アフリカのバッタの大量発生とともに地球最後の日の前兆だという人達がいる。実は地球が滅びる日を予言する者はこれまで何人も現れており、予言の日に向けて毎回死の準備をする人達がいるようだ。キリスト教では地球最後の日がやがて訪れ、その時にキリストが再来し、信者のみを天国にともない、不信心の者は永遠の死を受けると予言している。しかしキリスト教の識者はキリスト再来の正確な日は聖書には書かれておらず誰も予測できるものではないとして、これまでの予言をデマだと否定している。The book published in 2008 predicted that a severe pneumonia-like illness would spread worldwide around 2020 and vanish quickly, but come back ten years later. The author died in 2013. The coronavirus pandemic reminded many people of this book. Some people believe that this coronavirus pandemic as well as Austrarian wild fire and locus swarm in Africa is the sign of doomsday(the end of the world). In the past there appeared several prophets who told the dates of doomsday. Christian faith teaches that when the world ends, Jesus Christ comes again and take Christians to the heaven, while He gives eternal death to the rest of us.  But Christian scholars say that no one knows the day or hour for Christ's second coming, and deny those prophecies of doomsday.
