NH Newborn Lifetime Combination Hunting and Fishing License
A Great Idea for Baby's First Christmas.

Legislation passed just this year now allows the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department to offer you baby's best ever outdoor gift: the Newborn Lifetime Combination Hunting and Fishing License.

NH's Newborn Lifetime Combination Hunting and Fishing License is a special gift certificate allowing the holder of the certificate to redeem it for a lifetime NH freshwater fishing license and/or hunting license upon reaching the age of 16. Of course your child will still be required to complete an approved Hunter Education Class to receive a hunting license.

Sales are restricted to children under one year of age, who are state residents, with at least one parent (or guardian) who is also a state resident. The $300 certificate (plus $4.50 for habitat and agent fees) enables your child to have perpetual future fun hunting and fishing in New Hampshire regardless of their later residency. Should the certificate be lost during the ensuing 16 or so years, F&G can replace it at no additional charge. In the few short months the certificate has been offered, nearly 300 have been sold.

Specially designed NH Fish and Game camo-themed onesies, in sizes 6-months and 12-months, may be purchased separately, and make a great gift to be presented with the certificate.

The purchase of these specialized license gift certificates can be made only at the Fish and Game's headquarters office in Concord, NH but may be made in person or by mail. Applications are available online at wildnh.com/licensing/forms.html . The application process requires a photocopy of the child's birth certificate and a photocopy of at least one parent's (or legal guardian's) valid N.H. driver's license or non-driver picture identification to establish residency. Do NOT mail original documents.

Proceeds from Newborn Lifetime Combination Hunting and Fishing License sales go to a Fish and Game Department trust fund managed by the state treasurer. Upon the certificate's redemption, Fish and Game will annually receive the then annual license fees as revenue from the trust fund in lieu of any payments from the certificate/license holder. This will help to ensure that healthy fish and wildlife resources and opportunities for other outdoor recreation will be here for future generations.
