Okay, if your secret wish in life is to see Grandpa hurtling through the air over the majestic scenery of the White Mountains, this is your fantasy come true. If Gramps can meet the minimum height and weight requirements, and is under 6"5", he is in for a unique treat. The website also states: We do not recommend you participate if you are pregnant or have back, neck or heart issues. Please consult your doctor if you are unsure whether this activity is suitable for you….it sounds just AWESOME! The canopy will whiz below you, and create high-speed memories that will haunt your dreams again and again.

There are three different zipline tours available, and all include a ride to the summit in a Pinzgauer. This thing is a like a combination of a Hummer, Swiss Army knife, and the world's biggest old-school VW Beetle (with an air-cooled engine). It derives its name from a sure-footed mountain horse that crosses the Alps.

There are winter, summer and fall activities, since there is an adventure park that converts to a snowboard/ski area when the snow falls. This area includes a huge trampoline, a "free fall" tower, and all the youthful screaming and nervous laughter you could possibly handle.

Alpine Adventures is located just off I-93 at exit 32 in Lincoln. If you really owe your teens a good time after tea with Aunt Bess and a day of antiquing, reward them here!
