Defeat Binghamton 5-4.

Manchester, NH - Craig Breslow (S, 1) struck out Matt Oberste with two men on in the ninth to close out a 5-4 win for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (8-3), who evened the series with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies (4-6) on Wednesday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.

A three-run rally in the sixth inning made the difference for New Hampshire. After Binghamton tied the game at 2-2 in the top half, the Fisher Cats rallied behind a hit by pitch of Vlad Guerrero Jr. Juan Kelly singled and Harold Ramirez was plunked to load the bases, and Andrew Guillotte drew a walk to force home the go-ahead run. Gunnar Heidt then smacked a two-run single to left, and the Fisher Cats had a 5-2 lead.

New Hampshire opened the scoring with a run in the bottom of the second inning. Lourdes Gurriel led off the frame with a single, moved to second on a groundout and scored on a single by Harold Ramirez that bounced off the right field wall.

Guerrero Jr. plated his league-leading 13th RBI with a sacrifice fly in the third to put New Hampshire up 2-0. His fly ball to right scored Jonathan Davis, who was at third after a leadoff single, stolen base, and fielding error.

Binghamton tied the game in the top of the sixth inning. John Mora singled to start the frame, ending the night for Fisher Cats starter Francisco Rios (5.0 IP, 4 H, 1 ER). Peter Alonso greeted reliever Dusty Isaacs with an RBI double to left to make it 2-1. After a single by Patrick Mazeika, Oberste's sacrifice fly brought the Rumble Ponies even.

Danny Young worked around a pair of walks in 1.2 hitless innings of relief for the Fisher Cats, and Andrew Case recorded three outs before Breslow came on for the final out.

The series concludes on Thursday at 10:35 a.m. with Manchester Schools Day. It's is all about local students! The park will be packed with kids from schools across the region for a morning of baseball, education and FEROCIOUS fun.
