Fisher Cats collect 13 hits, including four from Anthony Alford.

- The Fisher Cats pounded out 13 hits - including homers from Ryan McBroom and Richard Urena - but took a 7-6 loss to the Trenton Thunder on Wednesday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.A five-run sixth inning proved to be the difference for the Thunder, who took a 7-3 lead thanks to a three-run blast from Billy Fleming. The Fisher Cats rallied with two in the bottom half, and drew within a run on Richard Urena's second homer of the season, but Anthony Alford was stranded on first base as the tying run.It was back and forth in the early going, with Urena tying the game at 1-1 with a second inning RBI single, and McBroom's sixth homer giving New Hampshire a 2-1 lead. Billy McKinney went deep for Trenton to tie the score at 2-2, and the Fisher Cats jumped back in front 3-2 with an RBI groundout from Gunnar Heidt before the Thunder's big sixth inning.Fisher Cats relievers Josh DeGraaf, Alonzo Gonzalez and Justin Shafer combined to throw three scoreless innings, allowing a total of one hit while striking out three.McBroom missed the cycle by a triple, while Alford put together New Hampshire's first four-hit night of the season.The series concludes on Thursday morning for NH Scholars Day, presented by the NH College & University Council, with first pitch scheduled for 11:35 a.m. For tickets and information, visit www.nhfishercats.com
