[6/17/18] - The bats came alive for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays) on Sunday with a 9-1 win over the Altoona Curve (Pirates) at Peoples Natural Gas Field. Every New Hampshire player recorded at least one hit in the victory.Juan Kelly and Cavan Biggio hit homers as New Hampshire (40-28) salvaged the final game of the series with the Curve. The Fisher Cats, with a one-game lead in the Eastern League's Eastern Division, start the final segment of the longest roadtrip of the season in Erie on Monday.New Hampshire scored a run in the top of the first inning. Jonathan Davis started the game with a ground-rule double, advancing to third on a balk, scoring on Bo Bichette's groundout for a 1-0 lead.Ten New Hampshire batters came to bat in the top of the fourth inning as the team scored six runs for a 7-0 lead. Harold Ramirez had an RBI single, Gunnar Heidt drove in two runs with a single, Juan Kelly hit a two run homer and Davis delivered an RBI single to score Andrew Guillotte.Altoona first baseman Will Craig ended a nine-inning scoreless streak for New Hampshire starter Jon Harris when he lead off the bottom of the fourth inning with his 11th homer.New Hampshire added a run in the top of the eighth inning. Kelly singled, Guillotte picked up his third hit of the game with a single, and both runners moved up on a wild pitch. Kelly scored on a sacrifice fly by Davis to make it 8-1. Biggio hit his 15th home run in the top of the ninth for the game's final run.Harris (W, 5-3), who had tossed six no-hit innings in Akron on Tuesday, won again with six more innings of solid work. He allowed five hits, did not walk a batter and struck out three. Andrew Case (2 IP) and Jose Fernandez (1 IP) each worked scoreless relief.Eduardo Vera (L, 1-1) suffered the loss for Altoona (34-29).The Fisher Cats and Erie SeaWolves play at 7:05 p.m. on Monday.
