Participants: 12
Date: June 28 from 6:30-9:00pm
Location: Great Bay Discovery Center
Cost: $35 per person, $30 for Great Bay Stewards members, $25 with own kayak.
Join us for an evening paddle as we search for our beaked friends. As the sun set casts its hues over Great Bay, we will look for osprey, great blue heron, egret, kingfisher and many more estuary inhabitants. Countless birds call the area around the bay home, so we will hope to see a unique and diverse display of them all. Bring your friends, and together, share in a unique opportunity to paddle the bay at dusk!

Cocheco River Trip

Location: Downtown Dover, NH
Cost: $45 per person, $40 for Great Bay Stewards members, $35 with own kayak.
The Salmon Falls and Cocheco Rivers are two of the seven rivers that flow into the Great Bay Estuary. Meet us in Dover as we begin our trip. From here we will shuttle to the start in the Salmon Falls River and paddle back up the Cocheco to the downtown area. The Cocheco has beautiful scenery around every corner, as birds fly overhead and deer, otter and other wildlife can often be seen in and around the banks of the river. We will end our trip at just the perfect time for you to head off on your own to enjoy dinner in historic downtown Dover. Note: participating in the trip requires shuttling before and after.

Have a passion for fishing and kayaking? Join NH Guide, Hope Eagleson as she shares her secrets to successful striper fishing in Coastal NH. Fishing from a kayak presents a number of challenges which Hope will address prior to going on the water. The remainder of the time will be spent fishing and hopefully catching one of NH's feistiest game fish! A New Hampshire Saltwater fishing license is required.

We will begin our journey at the beautiful Adams Point Wildlife Management Area, a peninsula jutting out into the waters of Great Bay. We will paddle around some private islands just south of Adams Point, before heading north to an island owned by the National Estuarine Research Reserve. Bring a bagged lunch; we will be stopping on this island to enjoy lunch together before heading back to shore!
