New Board Members
Board sees four new faces.
CONCORD, NH
- The NH Center for Nonprofits (the Center) is pleased to announce the addition of four new members who were recently elected to its Board of Directors. Joining the Board are Robin Abbott, Alexa Stewart, Terrence Williams and Katharine Bogle Shields.Robin Abbott is the CEO of the NH Society of CPAs (NHSCPA). Since joining the NHSCPA in 2016, Robin has lead the organization in the successful implementation of its strategic plan; fostered numerous partnerships to create original initiatives and events; and has used her extensive fundraising and marketing experience to garner support and increase the presence of the organization. Prior to her work with the NHSCPA, Robin worked in gift planning and community relations for several organizations including the NH Charitable Foundation, Families in Transition, and Gateways Community Services. Robin lives in Merrimack.Alexa Stewart is the founder of Everything in Moderation and is an investment manager and realtor with Biaggio Properties. As a communications consultant, Alexa helps companies test and develop language strategy that appeals to their target consumers. Alexa is on the Town of Atkinson's Planning Board, an Ambassador for the Mayhew Program, and is a recent graduate of the Center's Hoffman-Haas Fellowship program. Alexa lives in Atkinson.Terrence Williams is President and CEO of Keene Publishing Corp, with responsibilities for the company's strategic planning; advertising, online and circulation sales; website and digital media; and new product development. Prior to joining the Keene Publishing Corp, he had a long tenure with Nashua Telegraph and McLean Communications. He is active in the community and serves on the boards of the Monadnock United Way and The Hannah Grimes Center for Entrepreneurship. Terry lives in Amherst.Katharine Bogle Shields, retired, was the Executive Director of the NH Community Development Finance Authority, a quasi-state community development investment organization. Prior to that she was a VP and Community Reinvestment Officer for Providian Financial, and held several management positions for Community Action Program of Belknap, Merrimack Counties. Kathy serves on the board of the Community College System of New Hampshire, chaired the 2018 Presidential search for Lakes Region Community College. She is vice chair of the CCSNH board of trustees and serves on the Community Colleges of NH Foundation board. Kathy lives in Canterbury."We are pleased to add these talented people to the Center's Board of Directors," said Kathleen Reardon, Chief Executive Officer of the NH Center for Nonprofits. "They each bring a deep knowledge and commitment to the nonprofit community, as well an understanding of the issues facing our state. Their leadership will be an asset to the organization as we continue our work to elevate the visibility and capacity of the state's nonprofit sector." The NH Center for Nonprofits
is a statewide nonprofit association dedicated to advancing the impact and visibility of the nonprofit sector and supporting the growth of nonprofits to reach their mission.
