Man Drowns in Stark
Stark, NH - At approximately 12:00 pm on Saturday, July 22, 2017, multiple agencies responded to a report of a man missing from a camp on Route 110 in Stark. The man was identified as Kent Woods, 53, of Stark, NH. Woods was reported last seen at that location between 10:00 pm and 11:00 pm on Friday, July 21, 2017.

Fish and Game Officers and State Police Troopers with a K-9 unit arrived at the camp around 12:30 pm and began searches of the immediate vicinity. While responders were searching, kayakers that were on the Upper Ammonoosuc River located Woods in the river about a quarter mile downstream from the camp. Once he was recovered, a medical examiner pronounced him dead at the scene.

Fish and Game is still investigating the incident at this time.
